Schylva combines student information, attendance, fee management, academics, communication, transport and analytics. Its stated contexts include CBSE, ICSE, Indian State Boards, IB and Cambridge, but suitability is confirmed school by school. That makes a written scope important: the same broad platform may fit one school’s processes and miss another’s requirements.

Standard onboarding, initial configuration, initial data migration and staff training are included within the school’s written scope. Ongoing support runs Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM IST, excluding public holidays, with a 24–48 working-hour resolution target. Schools operating outside those hours should plan their own first-line coverage.

Key features

Academic workflows cover class and teacher timetables, homework, study materials, exams, configurable grading scales and published results. This is a broader academic administration set than a simple gradebook and should suit schools coordinating teachers, assignments and formal results.

Role-aware experiences give administrators, teachers, parents and students permissions appropriate to their roles. The current verified web flow accepts a configured six-digit code. Selected school and platform actions can be recorded for review, while export, retention and deletion terms are handled in the school agreement.

Configured online fee payments may use Razorpay or another gateway, but the gateway’s transaction charges remain payable under its terms. Communication at launch uses in-app and push notifications. WhatsApp, non-login SMS and product-managed login-verification SMS are not launch channels, so schools dependent on those routes will need complementary tools.

Transport management records administrator routes, capacity context, student assignments and fee settings. It does not provide parent or student transport delivery, live GPS tracking or fleet operations. Admissions and enrollment are not included, which is a significant gap for schools seeking an end-to-end intake system.

Security documentation is limited: Schylva publishes no certification, hosting region, encryption scope, backup or recovery targets, or blanket DPDP Act compliance claim. Schools with formal compliance or resilience requirements should resolve those points contractually before rollout.

Pricing

The Introductory offer costs nothing for approved schools in India that activate by 31 March 2027, 11:59 PM IST. It runs through the school’s configured 2028–29 academic-year end, after which each year’s applicable price is 30% off. Payment-gateway charges remain payable. This is attractive for eligible Indian schools planning a defined initial period, but it is not a permanent free tier.

School-specific pricing is custom pricing. The quote is determined by billed student count, with pricing, included scope and renewal terms confirmed in a written quote; gateway charges are separate. This route fits schools needing negotiated scope, but comparing total cost requires securing those terms before signing.

Platforms

The web application provides desktop, tablet and mobile views. Native iOS and Android apps are in development and are not yet available to download, despite Android and iOS being named platform targets. Schools requiring installed mobile apps at launch should wait or choose another product.

Schylva fits Indian schools that want connected academic, attendance, fee and parent-facing workflows, can operate primarily through responsive web access, and are comfortable confirming board-specific fit.
