What ScanLex is

ScanLex recognizes PDFs, scans, and photos, then converts them into editable Word or Excel files, plain text, or searchable PDFs. It accepts PDF, PNG, JPG, TIFF, BMP, and WEBP inputs, with batch conversion available. Its table recognition can retain borders, merged cells, and numeric columns as structured tables, while document conversion preserves headings, lists, footnotes, and multi-column text. Russian and English can be recognized together in one document. Before recognition, photo processing can rotate images, correct skew, and enlarge small type. ScanLex is available on the web and as desktop software for Windows 10/11, Astra Linux, and ALT Linux.
