What Nova Skin is
Nova Skin is a free tool that runs in a browser for working with Minecraft skins. Users can paint directly on a 3D model and load a skin by username. The tool supports the Slim (Alex) model, and includes posing and animation for the model. These capabilities let users edit a skin while viewing it on a character model, then pose or animate that model as part of the workflow. Nova Skin is identified as free to use and has a free plan. Its listed platform is the browser, so the described skin-editing workflow is available through the website.
