ERP5 alternatives
ERP5 combines finance, inventory, order and manufacturing functions with CRM, production management, supply chain, product design, accounting, human resources and e-commerce. Its Unified Business Model describes how its components relate, and it has been implemented in industries ranging from banking and government to trade, manufacturing and aerospace. The software is free to download and use, runs on-premise, and supports browser access, self-hosting and an API. Its permissions can be configured by module and document.

ERP5 is aimed at organizations prepared to oversee deployment or learn the platform in depth. Its preconfigured virtual machine is not recommended for large production environments or development; the maker recommends SlapOS for production and complex integrations. ERP5 also is not a reporting tool, although it can interface with PALO and other tools. Compare alternatives by deployment model and platform, the functions your organization needs, and whether mobile access or an integrated reporting tool matters. Consider whether a free option or a paid plan suits your budget, and how much implementation oversight your organization can provide.
