Instead of Django Q2
Django Q2 alternatives
Django Q2 keeps background work close to a Django application: it runs asynchronous tasks through Python multiprocessing and supports scheduled, cron, and repeated jobs. Result hooks, groups, and chains provide ways to organize task workflows, while the multi-cluster monitor integrates with Django Admin. Redis, IronMQ, Amazon SQS, MongoDB, and Django ORM are among its broker options. It is free, MIT-licensed, and designed for self-hosted deployment on Linux, macOS, or the web.

A different tool may suit you better if your jobs span languages or machines, need a separate worker platform, or are not application jobs at all. Django Q2's documentation covers Python 3.10–3.14 and Django 5.2, 6.0, and 6.1; its README also says Disque support was dropped. Compare whether you want Django-native task management or a language-agnostic system, and consider the database or broker, deployment model, monitoring, scheduling, and workflow controls your work calls for. Free options and paid plans also differ in cost and support.
