Instead of Box
Box alternatives
Box is built for producers working inside Ableton Live on macOS. It analyzes sessions, devices, and routing, suggests EQ, dynamics, and level changes, and can compare a reference track’s stems and frequency spectrum. Arrangement tools cover clips, locators, templates, and a visual builder, while CHARL:E and ERR.L add natural-language interaction and spectral analysis. Its free plan includes session scanning and basic mix analysis; paid plans start at $29 a month and add reference, arrangement, and AI tools.

That focus may be limiting if you work outside Ableton or macOS: Box requires Ableton Live 11 or 12 and macOS 10.15 or later, and it is a standalone product rather than a DAW plug-in. Windows support is forthcoming. The alternatives below range from offline stem mixing and DAW plug-ins to browser mastering and live-broadcast automation. Consider whether you need to work with a whole session or a finished stereo mix, preserve offline workflows, export an editable session, or target a particular platform or output format.
