The vivo V70 has a larger display, a dedicated telephoto camera, and a higher-capacity battery with 90W charging. In India, vivo’s official store currently displays lower prices for its 256GB variants, but Apple’s India pages show conflicting iPhone 17 prices, so there is no single reliable price gap to quote without checking live checkout.

India price difference: check the exact variant and live price
At the time the official vivo store was accessed on 5 October 2026, it displayed the following prices for V70 256GB variants:
| Phone and configuration | Displayed price | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| vivo V70 8GB+256GB | ₹59,999 | Displayed store offer; MRP ₹65,999. See vivo’s 8GB+256GB listing. |
| vivo V70 12GB+256GB | ₹64,999 | Displayed store offer; MRP ₹75,999. See vivo’s 12GB+256GB listing. |
| iPhone 17 256GB | ₹99,900 surfaced on Apple’s purchase page; Apple’s product page and 2025 launch announcement gave ₹82,900 as a starting price | Apple’s official India pages conflict in the material available; confirm the current checkout price before comparing. |
| iPhone 17 512GB | ₹1,24,900 surfaced on Apple’s purchase page | Listed purchase-page figure; check current checkout. |
Because Apple’s official pages do not agree on the iPhone 17 starting price, subtracting a vivo offer from one Apple figure would produce a price difference that may mislead. Compare the same storage capacity, distinguish a displayed offer from MRP, and check the live checkout price on the day you buy. Apple’s pages are the India purchase page, India product page, and September 2025 launch announcement.

Which phone has the better fit for your priorities?
Choose the iPhone 17 if you want a smaller phone
Its 6.3-inch display is smaller than the V70’s 6.59-inch panel. Apple lists the A19 chip and Apple Intelligence features, alongside a dual 48MP rear-camera system. Apple also describes optical-quality 2x telephoto capability from the main camera, which is different from having a separate telephoto lens.
Choose the vivo V70 if you want a larger screen and dedicated telephoto camera
The V70 has the larger listed display and a separate 50MP OIS telephoto camera, in addition to its 50MP OIS main and 8MP ultra-wide cameras. It also offers a 256GB configuration with 12GB RAM, as well as an 8GB RAM option. Camera megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better photos.

Compare battery claims in context
Apple publishes a video-playback estimate of up to 30 hours; vivo publishes a typical capacity of 6500mAh and 90W charging. These are different kinds of specifications and should not be treated as a direct battery-life comparison. Apple’s stated 20-minute charging condition requires a 40W-or-higher adapter and cable, and the adapter is sold separately.
Treat resistance ratings and update promises carefully
Apple lists IP68 with a specific depth and duration rating under IEC 60529; vivo lists IP68 and IP69. Published ratings do not establish identical real-world protection. vivo advertises six years of security updates, while the cited Apple specifications do not state an equivalent support duration; that is not proof that the two phones receive equal-length support.

What the specifications do—and do not—settle
- Display: vivo lists the larger screen; both manufacturers list refresh rates up to 120Hz.
- Camera hardware: vivo includes a dedicated telephoto camera, while Apple describes optical-quality 2x capability from the main camera. No comparative photo testing is established here.
- Performance: the listed chips are A19 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4; no benchmark comparison is available here.
- Price: the vivo store’s listed 256GB offers are below the surfaced ₹99,900 Apple purchase-page figure, but Apple’s own pages also show a ₹82,900 starting price. Confirm live prices and the exact configuration before deciding.
