Apple’s new Home Collection pairs LG smart-home accessories with two climate products from Schneider Electric. Apple announced U.S. starting prices from $39.95 to $399.95 on October 13, 2026, with sales planned to begin in December and select accessories arriving in early 2027. The products have not yet gone on sale as of the announcement.
What’s in Apple Home Collection?
The collection is designed to be managed through Apple Home and set up with an iPhone; Apple says no separate app or account is required for Apple Home setup. LG also says its products support LG ThinQ. The lineup includes seven LG accessories and two climate products from Schneider Electric, so not every item is made by LG.

Which products are for the front door?
Doorbell and cameras
The wired doorbell is the entry point for visitor and package monitoring: its two cameras provide separate views, including a full-HD view of the area below the doorbell. The Floodlight Cam combines outdoor monitoring with lighting, while the plug-in outdoor camera is a self-install option for exterior coverage. The indoor camera’s tilt function can change its view or stop monitoring.
#1 Best Overall
- Premium, immersive, high-fidelity audio
Apple says the camera lineup supports video up to 2.5K and can recognize people, familiar faces, pets, vehicles, and packages. That maximum does not mean every camera view has the same resolution: Apple describes the doorbell’s lower package camera as full HD.
Smart deadbolt
The LG Smart Deadbolt Lock is designed to work alongside the doorbell: Apple says a user can see a visitor and unlock the door from one Home app view or ask Siri. Its announced access methods include UWB-based hands-free unlocking with a compatible Apple home key, tap, PIN, and a physical backup key. Apple says core access features work locally without an internet connection.
What are the thermostat and sensor options?
There are two thermostats at the same announced U.S. starting price: LG’s Smart Thermostat and Schneider Home’s Smart Thermostat, each $199.95. The LG Temperature Sensor and Schneider Home Room Sensor are each $39.95 and add room-level temperature sensing; LG specifies temperature and humidity sensing for its sensor.

Apple says Adaptive Temperature uses on-device intelligence on iPhone to adjust the home around home, sleep, and away states. Its Clean Energy Guidance feature is described for the contiguous United States and requires a compatible utility plan.

- Your favorite music and content – Play music, audiobooks, and podcasts from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify and others or via Bluetooth throughout your home.

- Keep your home comfortable – Control compatible smart home devices with your voice and routines triggered by built-in motion or indoor temperature sensors. Create routines to automatically turn on lights when you walk into a room, or start a fan if the inside temperature goes above your comfort zone.
- Do more with device pairing – Fill your home with music using compatible Echo devices in different rooms, or create a home theatre system with Fire TV.
- Say goodbye to drop-offs and buffering - With eero Built-in, Echo Dot doubles as a mesh wifi extender, adding up to 1,000 sq. ft. of wifi coverage to your existing eero network.
Apple and LG describe the thermostats as working with a broad range of HVAC systems, but suitability depends on a home’s wiring. The announcements mention wire detection and separately sold C-wire adapters; they do not establish compatibility for any particular HVAC setup. Check the product requirements against the existing thermostat wiring before choosing one.
How much does the collection cost?
Apple’s announced U.S. starting prices span $39.95 for either room sensor to $399.95 for the LG Floodlight Cam. The most expensive camera is the Floodlight Cam; among the entry products, the wired doorbell is $249.95 and the smart deadbolt is $349.95. These are announced starting prices, not verified retail prices.
When and where will the products be available?
Apple announced that the collection would begin arriving in December 2026, with select accessories in early 2027. The announcement is a launch plan, not evidence that products are already for sale.

What Apple Home features and services are required?
Apple says Home app data is end-to-end encrypted. For compatible cameras, event video history is available for 10 days with supported iCloud+ plans. Video summaries and natural-language video search require an eligible iCloud+ plan and setup with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad. These are Apple’s stated privacy and service terms, not independently tested findings.
When comparing products, consider the job they need to do, installation, and service dependencies: the doorbell is explicitly wired, while the outdoor and indoor cameras include plug-in models. A thermostat needs compatible HVAC wiring, and some camera history and analysis features require eligible iCloud+ service. Apple’s announcement also positions the doorbell and lock as a connected entry system.
How HomeView fits in
Apple separately announced HomeView, a 7-inch display and smart-home dashboard that can show camera feeds and control accessories. It is not an LG accessory in this collection; Apple says it works with Apple Home Collection and other Works with Apple Home and Matter products. Apple also says HomeView will not be sold in the European Union because Siri AI is unavailable there in iOS. See Apple’s HomeView announcement for that separate product’s details.
