The 91mobiles comparison reports higher Geekbench 6 scores for Apple’s A19, while its AnTuTu results favor the Dimensity 9500s but conflict within the same page. The chips also use different architectures and appear in different phones, so these figures are not a controlled, universal speed ranking.
Apple A19 vs Dimensity 9500s: key specifications
Apple lists the A19 in the iPhone 17; MediaTek publishes the Dimensity 9500s as a smartphone platform. Their core layouts and graphics hardware differ substantially.

| Specification | Apple A19 | MediaTek Dimensity 9500s |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | Six cores: two performance cores and four efficiency cores, according to Apple’s iPhone 17 technical specifications. | Eight cores: one Cortex-X925 core up to 3.73 GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores, according to MediaTek’s product specifications. |
| GPU | Five-core GPU with Neural Accelerators and hardware-accelerated ray tracing, per Apple. | Immortalis-G925; MediaTek says phone makers can configure it with 11 or 12 cores. |
| AI hardware | 16-core Neural Engine, plus Neural Accelerators in the GPU, per Apple. | MediaTek lists an NPU for generative and agentic AI use cases. |
| Process | Not stated on Apple’s cited specification page. | MediaTek describes the chip as built on a 3 nm process. |
| Memory and storage support | Not detailed on Apple’s cited specification page. | LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4 with MCQ storage support, per MediaTek. |
| Connectivity and imaging support | Apple’s cited page describes iPhone 17 features and connectivity at the phone level. | MediaTek lists 5G Release 17, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and imaging support that includes 8K capture. |
Core counts and peak clock speeds do not by themselves determine which phone feels faster. Nor does a chip’s maximum listed support guarantee that a manufacturer enables every feature in a retail device. Apple’s specifications describe the iPhone 17, while MediaTek’s describe platform capabilities; the sources therefore do not provide a fully symmetrical feature comparison.

Which is faster: A19 or Dimensity 9500s?
It depends on the benchmark and the phone being tested. In 91mobiles’ comparison, the listed Geekbench 6 scores are higher for A19 in both single-core and multi-core results. The same page reports a higher AnTuTu total for Dimensity 9500s in its headline/device result, but gives a different Dimensity score in its summary table.

| Benchmark result | Apple A19 | Dimensity 9500s |
|---|---|---|
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 3,672 | 2,673 |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core | 9,327 | 8,483 |
| AnTuTu, headline/device result | 2,250,422 | 3,022,675 |
| AnTuTu, comparison summary table | 2,250,422 | 2,801,896 |
These are scores reported by 91mobiles’ A19 vs Dimensity 9500s comparison, accessed in 2026—not manufacturer-confirmed chip scores or results from our own testing. The page associates results with phone models but does not document enough test conditions to establish a matched, silicon-only comparison. Its two AnTuTu values for Dimensity 9500s also disagree, so neither should be treated as a settled score.
What the benchmarks do—and don’t—show
Geekbench 6: the reported CPU comparison
The 91mobiles figures favor A19 on both listed Geekbench 6 measures. Single-core and multi-core results are useful points of comparison, but they do not establish that A19 will be faster in every app, game or sustained workload. Results can vary with the tested phone and test conditions.

AnTuTu: an unresolved discrepancy
91mobiles’ headline/device result puts Dimensity 9500s at 3,022,675, above A19’s 2,250,422. Its own summary table instead lists 2,801,896 for Dimensity 9500s. Because those Dimensity totals conflict, the page does not support a definitive AnTuTu ranking.
Gaming, heat and battery life
The cited sources do not establish a controlled head-to-head test of sustained performance, gaming, thermals or battery life. GPU names and benchmark totals cannot answer those questions on their own; cooling, power settings and the rest of the handset matter.

How to compare phones built around these chips
Start with the exact models available to you, not just the processor names. Apple identifies iPhone 17 as an A19 phone. 91mobiles lists POCO X8 Pro Max and OPPO Find X9s among phones powered by Dimensity 9500s. Those listings are not confirmation of current availability in every market; check the regional model and its retail specifications.
- For everyday speed: consider the benchmark results as one clue, then look for testing of the exact phone you plan to buy.
- For gaming: compare matched graphics tests and sustained play on the specific handsets. MediaTek lists 11- or 12-core GPU configurations, so verify the phone’s implementation.
- For AI or camera features: check which features the phone maker actually enables. Hardware capabilities and vendor descriptions do not establish comparative app performance or image quality.
- For long sessions and travel: seek device-level battery and thermal results, since the cited chip specifications do not resolve either.
- For a purchase decision: include operating system, camera, price and regional availability; a processor comparison cannot settle the overall phone choice.
Bottom line on A19 vs Dimensity 9500s
The reported Geekbench 6 results favor A19, while the AnTuTu comparison is inconsistent for Dimensity 9500s. Use the scores as attributed results from one comparison page, not as proof that either chip is universally faster. For a real buying decision, compare the exact phones and the workload that matters to you.
