Soundcore lists 80 W output, IP67 water and dust resistance, USB power output and up to 20 hours of playback. Those are manufacturer specifications and claims—not independently verified loudness, sound-quality or battery-test results—so the key question is whether its ruggedness and portability fit your use.
What the Motion Boom Plus is—and what its specifications mean
Soundcore identifies the Motion Boom Plus as model A3129. Check the model number when shopping: it distinguishes this speaker from the original Motion Boom and from the Boom 2 line. Soundcore’s US product page lists Bluetooth 5.3, an integrated handle, a detachable strap and USB power output for charging another device.

How long does the battery last?
Soundcore claims up to 20 hours of playback and lists a 13,400 mAh battery. The “up to” figure is not a guarantee: runtime changes with listening volume and music content, and the available manufacturer information does not establish an independent endurance result. If you expect to play music loudly for long stretches, treat 20 hours as a best-case claim rather than a planning minimum.
The USB power output can also be useful for charging another device, but using the speaker as a power source draws on its battery. Soundcore’s product page does not establish how much playback time remains while it is doing so.

Is the Motion Boom Plus waterproof?
Soundcore rates the speaker IP67 for water and dust resistance. The US product details specify that the port covers must be closed to maintain waterproof protection. That rating and condition are not a promise that every kind of water exposure is risk-free; close the covers securely and follow the A3129 guide for care and use.
How loud does it get, and how does it sound?
Soundcore specifies 80 W of output, with two 30 W woofers and two 10 W tweeters, plus BassUp processing. These details describe the manufacturer’s configuration; they do not establish how loud the speaker gets in a room or outdoors, how cleanly it plays at high volume, or whether its bass and vocals will suit your preferences. No independent listening or loudness measurements are established here.

The Soundcore app offers several EQ choices, including Custom and BassUp. You can use them to adjust playback, but there is no verified basis here for calling one setting the best. If you are choosing mainly for sound character or maximum outdoor coverage, seek a hands-on review with disclosed listening conditions and measurements rather than inferring performance from wattage alone.

Is it portable enough for outdoor use?
The built-in handle and detachable strap give you two ways to carry the Motion Boom Plus, while its IP67 rating is intended to address dust and water exposure when used with the port covers secured. This is a more substantial outdoor-speaker proposition than a pocket-sized Bluetooth speaker; consider the physical size and weight in person if you will carry it far, since the product information cited here does not provide a weight figure.

Soundcore lists USB power output, which adds a practical charging function when you are away from an outlet. Confirm what accessories are included in the package for your region before assuming a cable or other item comes with it.

The Motion Boom Plus sits between the original Motion Boom and Boom 2 Plus on Soundcore’s listed output, while its claimed runtime is shorter than the Motion Boom and Boom 2 claims. That does not demonstrate which speaker sounds louder, lasts longer in your conditions or is better value. Choose by the combination of size, protection, carrying options and feature set you need—not output figures alone.
