The Anker Nano Charger (45W, Smart Display, 180° Foldable, model A121D) is a single USB-C wall charger with a small screen that reports charging wattage in real time. On certain iPhone and iPad models it also shows the device model and battery percentage. The charger does not include a cable, and its 45W rating is a ceiling: the connected device decides how much power it actually draws.
This is a specification-based read. It draws on Anker’s published product pages for the US, EU and UK, plus the battery-care and temperature figures Anker publishes from its own testing. No independent hands-on testing is included.

What the screen actually tells you
Anker says the screen “shows real-time charging wattage.” That number is the power flowing to the device at that moment. It is not a guarantee of the fastest speed the phone can accept. Anker says lower displayed wattage is normal, and that output can fall as the battery fills or as temperature and usage change.

| Device | Model and battery percentage shown on the charger |
|---|---|
| iPhone 15, 16 and 17 series (models Anker lists) | Yes |
| iPhone 17e | No; Anker notes it as an exclusion |

In practice, a Galaxy or Pixel owner gets the charging power but not the device readout.
Power specifications and what the numbers mean
| Attribute | Anker’s stated value (US listing unless noted) |
|---|---|
| USB-C ports | One |
| Maximum total output | 45W |
| USB Power Delivery | Up to 45W |
| PPS | Up to 3A; 5A PPS not supported |
| Input | 100–240V AC, 50/60Hz, up to 1.5A |
| Output profiles | 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 15V/3A, or 20V/2.25A |
| Dimensions | 1.34 × 1.40 × 1.57 in (34 × 35.5 × 40 mm) |
| Weight | 2.65 oz (75 g) |
The output profiles explain the wattage a phone can see. Multiplying voltage by current gives 15W at 5V/3A, 27W at 9V/3A, 45W at 15V/3A, and 45W at 20V/2.25A. A phone that negotiates the 9V profile therefore draws at most 27W from this charger, even though the unit is rated for 45W.

- Anker says certain Galaxy models are limited to 27W.
- Anker says the Galaxy S25 series supports full-speed fast charging with this charger.
- Anker says output is set by the connected device, so an iPhone or Galaxy with a lower charging ceiling will simply draw less than 45W.
Cable: not included
The box does not contain a cable. Anker identifies the connectors you need as USB-C to USB-C for USB-C devices and USB-C to Lightning for older iPhones. Choose a cable with the connector your device uses, and check that the cable’s rating supports the wattage you expect. A cable rated below the charger’s output will cap the speed regardless of the charger.

Care Mode and temperature claims
Anker advertises a Care Mode and temperature differences based on its own testing. The UK product page states up to 20°C cooler charger temperature and up to 5°C lower phone internal battery temperature in Care Mode. These are manufacturer figures. No independent thermal or battery-life result for the A121D is available, so treat them as Anker’s measurements, not as results you should expect in everyday use.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Size against a standard 30W charger
Anker’s EU product page says the unit is 47% smaller and 20% lighter than a standard 30W charger. That is a comparative claim. The page does not establish the reference charger’s exact dimensions or the full comparison method, so the percentages are useful as a direction rather than a precise measurement.

Who this charger suits
- Good fit: you want a single-port, compact 45W charger and you value seeing live output wattage, and your iPhone or iPad is on Anker’s recognition list.
- Weaker fit: you own a Samsung or Pixel phone and want the battery-percentage readout, or you expect a cable in the box.
- Wrong shape: you need to charge several devices at once, since this is a single-port unit.
- Check first: if you own a Galaxy, confirm your model against Anker’s 27W note, because the charger will not exceed that model’s ceiling.
