When do Held Items unlock?
Daily Aniimo’s September 20, 2026 guide reports that the feature unlocks at Student III, after you clear the Elite Training Core Courses, level up, and pass Dr. Lewis’s Theory Test. No official developer documentation was available to confirm those exact requirements, so treat them as guide-reported rather than guaranteed progression steps.

How to equip a Held Item
- Open Aniimo Management. Daily Aniimo reports that the PC shortcut is P.
- Select the Aniimo you want to equip.
- Open Training, then choose Held Item.
- Select an item and confirm. The guides describe one Held Item slot per Aniimo.
If the Aniimo refuses the item, Daily Aniimo says the pairing must be accepted by the Aniimo. Try another item rather than assuming the feature or menu is broken.

What does equipping a Held Item do?
An equipped item provides its stats or base effects. AniimoEggs’ October 3, 2026 guide distinguishes these immediate benefits from the item’s skill effect, which it says requires a contract. Aniimo.guide reproduces tutorial text describing the contract as a way for an Aniimo equipped with that Held Item to receive a core-skill enhancement.

When choosing an item, consider whether its base effect suits the Aniimo’s role, what its core effect does, and whether that effect’s trigger fits the way you use the Aniimo in combat. AniimoVerse’s September 23, 2026 guide emphasizes that item suitability depends on the Aniimo and its combat rotation, so there is no universal best item established for every player.
How are enhancement and contracts different from equipping?
Equipping puts an item’s existing effects into use; enhancement and a contract are additional systems. Daily Aniimo says items can be enhanced with spare Held Items or Held Item Cores. It reports that a Legendary item at level 15 unlocks a Tier 2 effect and a Contract option. These conditions, costs, and any binding rules are guide-reported and may change, so check the item screen before committing resources.

The same guide describes contracts as species-specific and says an item becomes bound to a species. AniimoEggs and Aniimo.guide also distinguish a contract from the immediate stats of an equipped item: the contract is associated with core-skill enhancement, not the basic act of equipping.
Some enhancement screens may label Held Items as “Carried Items.” If you see that wording, it refers to the item system rather than a separate equipment slot, according to Daily Aniimo and AniimoEggs.

Why won’t my Aniimo take a Held Item?
- Check that the feature is unlocked. The unofficial progression guide places the unlock at Student III, following the listed courses, level-up, and Theory Test.
- Confirm the menu path. Open Aniimo Management, select the Aniimo, and look under Training → Held Item.
- Try a different pairing. Daily Aniimo reports that an Aniimo may refuse a particular item and must accept the pairing.
- Separate equipping from contracting. A contract is not required simply to place an item in the slot; the sources associate it with the additional core-skill enhancement.
