The contest closed on May 2, 2023, and Android Headlines named Shannon Clark of Georgia as its winner. The old entry copy or widget on the page does not make it a current promotion.
What happened to the Galaxy S23 Ultra giveaway?
Android Headlines published the standalone giveaway article on June 29, 2023. It describes a U.S.-only contest for a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and identifies Shannon Clark from Georgia as the winner. The article is an authentic page on Android Headlines’ site, but that establishes what the publisher announced—not whether the prize was ultimately delivered.
The giveaway closed at 2:59 p.m. Pacific time on May 2, 2023. Since the entry period has ended and a winner has been named, there is no valid way to enter this promotion now. Read the original Android Headlines contest page.
What was the prize and how did entry work?
The advertised prize was a Galaxy S23 Ultra with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 2023 article described its value as $1,199; that is historical launch-era context, not a current price.

- 6.8" Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, up to ~1750 nits brightness, HDR10+ support, and ultra-smooth responsiveness for gaming and scrolling.
The original entry process used an embedded giveaway widget. Entrants submitted an email address, confirmed it if required, and could complete optional actions—such as visiting Android Headlines’ social channels—for extra entries. The page limited entrants to one email address per person and warned that multiple addresses could lead to disqualification. These are details of the expired contest, not instructions for entering today.
Who was eligible, and what did the rules say?
The article said the contest was open only to U.S. residents of a “suitable age.” It does not give a specific minimum age in the visible text, so an exact threshold cannot be confirmed from the page. It also does not set out a complete formal eligibility definition, odds of winning, or tax treatment.

According to the article, the selected winner would be contacted by email and had 48 hours to respond before another entrant could be chosen. The page names Clark as the winner, but it does not document shipment, delivery, or prize acceptance.
Why might the page still look active?
The original article combines old contest instructions with a later winner update, and an embedded widget or search result may still show wording such as “Enter now.” Neither a visible widget nor a search snippet overrides the past deadline and published winner announcement. Android Headlines’ giveaway archive lists this promotion among past contests, separately from later promotions.

If you are considering another giveaway, check that its closing date is in the future, its rules and sponsor are clearly identified, and its entry form belongs to the official promotion. Do not assume a new contest is a continuation of the S23 Ultra giveaway simply because it uses similar branding.
How to handle messages about this giveaway
An authentic page on Android Headlines does not authenticate unsolicited emails, texts, or social posts that use the contest’s name. Do not pay a “shipping fee” or send gift cards, cryptocurrency, bank details, account passwords, or a Social Security number to claim a supposed prize. Verify any claimed follow-up through Android Headlines’ official site, rather than relying on a message that mentions the winner or the phone.

Galaxy S23 Ultra details in the original article
The contest page described the phone as it was presented in 2023: a 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, a 5,000mAh battery, a 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and 3x and 10x telephoto cameras. It listed Android 13 with One UI 5.1 as the software at the time. These are historical specifications, not a current software-support or buying recommendation.
The article also referred to a February 1, 2023 announcement date for the phone. It does not establish Samsung as the giveaway sponsor; it described the prize as courtesy of Android Headlines.
