Android Find Hub trackers can sometimes show a repeated change where the device keeps adding or re-adding dual-network support. That behavior is usually triggered by stale pairing data, an app/server sync loop, or a permissions/network mismatch that prevents a clean “final state” from sticking.
This guide walks you through the fixes in the order that tends to work fastest: refresh the tracker binding in Find Hub, verify Android location/Bluetooth permissions, then re-pair cleanly and update firmware/components. You’ll also find a troubleshooting checklist and FAQs for the most common edge cases.

What the dual-network toggle means (and why it keeps reappearing)
“Dual-network support” typically refers to a tracker being able to use two connectivity paths for discovery/updates—commonly Bluetooth for close-range communication and Wi‑Fi or a wider network path for faster location reporting. Some trackers also support “dual radio” configurations (for example: Bluetooth LE + Wi‑Fi) or dual-mode behavior inside the same feature.
If Android Find Hub keeps showing dual-network support being added again, it usually isn’t because the tracker physically changes every time. Instead, the app is receiving repeated configuration states (often from the cloud) and re-applying them because the local pairing record doesn’t confirm the new state.

Before you change anything: prerequisites and what to check
Start with a quick inventory so you don’t chase the wrong problem.
- Find Hub app version (open the app store listing or app settings screen).
- Android version (Settings → About phone).
- Tracker firmware version (Find Hub app → device details screen, if available).
- Current permissions status for Location and Bluetooth.
- Bluetooth state (try turning Bluetooth off/on once, then check again).
If you’re seeing multiple tracker entries with the same serial/label, don’t remove randomly yet—first follow the “clean re-pair” steps below so you don’t create even more duplicates.
Fix 1: Refresh the tracker binding in the Find Hub app
This is the quickest “soft reset” that doesn’t touch system settings. It forces the app to reconcile the tracker’s current status.
- Open Find Hub on your Android device.
- Go to Devices (or My Trackers).
- Select the problematic tracker.
- Look for one of these options and run it once: Refresh, Sync, Reconnect, or Update connection.
- If the app offers a Remove/Add flow for network features, stop after you confirm the app can show the tracker as connected.
After the refresh completes, close the app completely (recent apps → swipe it away) and reopen it. If dual-network keeps reappearing instantly, go to Fix 2.
Fix 2: Verify Android permissions and Nearby/Bluetooth scanning settings
Dual-network features usually depend on consistent location and nearby scanning. Missing permissions can cause the app to repeatedly attempt configuration.
Use these exact checks in Android Settings:
- Open Settings → Apps → Find Hub → Permissions.
- Enable Location permission (choose Allow all the time if available).
- Enable Bluetooth permission (if prompted under app permissions).
- Go to Settings → Location → turn on Location.
- Turn on Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth together (don’t leave Wi‑Fi off during setup).
- Find Nearby device scanning (on many phones: Settings → Location → Nearby device scanning) and set it to Allow.
Then reboot your phone once. If the toggle behavior still repeats, proceed to Fix 3.

Fix 3: Re-pair cleanly (including deleting stale entries)
Most “keeps adding dual-network support” cases come from stale pairing state. Clean re-pairing ensures the app stops trying to re-apply a configuration that it thinks didn’t stick.
- In Find Hub, open Devices.
- If you see more than one entry for the same tracker (same label/serial), delete all entries for that physical tracker.
- Remove the tracker from the app (look for Remove device, Delete, or a trash icon).
- Confirm removal when prompted.
- Now restart the Find Hub app (force close → reopen).
- Tap Add device and follow the pairing flow again.
During pairing, keep your Android phone within 1–3 meters of the tracker and let it sit for 1–2 minutes after it reports “connected.” Rushing this is a common cause of repeated configuration attempts.
Fix 4: Eliminate network and location signal conflicts
If your device is on a restricted network or using aggressive power saving, the tracker’s network path may fail and trigger reconfiguration loops.
Check these items:
- Turn off VPN temporarily (Settings → Network & Internet → VPN → disconnect).
- Disable Private DNS if enabled (Settings → Network & Internet → Private DNS → Off).
- Disable any app-level Data saver / Battery optimization for Find Hub.
- Connect to a stable Wi‑Fi network (avoid captive portals like “Sign in to Wi‑Fi”).
- Keep Location services on and don’t switch location mode repeatedly during setup.
After changes, re-open Find Hub and verify whether dual-network support now shows once and stays stable.
Fix 5: Update app, Android components, and tracker firmware
Configuration loops often come from mismatched client/app and device firmware expectations. Even small release differences can change how the tracker reports network capabilities.

Fix 6: Reset the tracker (factory reset) the safe way
If the tracker firmware or pairing data is stuck in an inconsistent state, only a factory reset will truly clear it. Do this last if re-pairing didn’t help.
Because factory reset steps vary by model, follow the reset method shown in Find Hub for your specific tracker. A safe general approach looks like this:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →- Confirm whether Find Hub provides a Factory reset or Reset tracker option inside the device menu.
- If the app requires a physical reset: keep the tracker powered and ready.
- Perform the reset using the exact button/press pattern for your model (commonly holding the main button for ~10–15 seconds until an LED changes state).
- After reset, wait until the tracker enters pairing mode (LED pattern or in-app prompt).
- Pair again in Find Hub from scratch.
Common gotcha: after reset, some trackers won’t pair reliably if you immediately try again before the pairing mode fully activates. Wait 30–60 seconds and try once.
When dual-network support keeps coming back: common causes
- Duplicate device records in Find Hub (same tracker added multiple times under slightly different states).
- Stale cloud configuration where the app thinks the tracker never confirmed an update.
- Permission denial (Location off, Nearby scanning disabled, or background location restricted).
- Network restrictions like VPN, Private DNS, or a captive portal causing API calls to fail.
- Power optimization killing background tasks mid-sync.
- Firmware/app version mismatch causing the capability negotiation to repeat.
Android version and device-specific gotchas
Some Android builds behave differently around background scanning and “Nearby device scanning.” These are the typical problem patterns.
Android 12–14
On newer Android versions, Nearby device scanning and fine-grained location access can strongly affect tracker setup. If the app prompts you for permissions but you select a limited option, the dual-network step may not finalize.

If you can’t stabilize the dual-network state, you still have options to regain control of the tracker.
Pair from a different Android device
Install Find Hub on a second Android phone, then try a clean add. If it works there, your original phone’s permissions/network state is the likely culprit.
Use a different connection type during setup
Try pairing while on Wi‑Fi first, then repeat using mobile data only (or vice versa). Some networks block discovery/reporting calls, which can lead to repeated configuration attempts.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteWait for a cloud sync window
Some trackers update capability flags on a timed sync. If you just changed permissions or firmware, wait 5–15 minutes before concluding it’s failing.

FAQs
Why does the dual-network support keep getting added right after I pair?
That usually means the app isn’t receiving a confirmation from the tracker or the server update failed (often due to permissions, battery optimization, or blocked network access like VPN/Private DNS). Clean re-pairing plus enabling Nearby device scanning typically fixes it.
Will dual-network support affect battery life on my Android?
Potentially. Bluetooth scanning and higher-frequency connectivity can increase background activity. If you notice heavy drain, disable unnecessary tracking features in Find Hub (if offered) and ensure battery optimization isn’t forcing constant retries.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Can I keep using the tracker while this loop happens?
Often yes for basic close-range discovery, but network-based features may be unreliable until the configuration stabilizes. If you depend on remote updates, fix the loop first to avoid delayed or missing reports.
How do I know I truly removed stale duplicates?
Check that only one device entry remains in Find Hub for that tracker label/serial. If the app still shows multiple entries after you delete them, force-close the app, reboot your phone, and repeat the delete using a single source (don’t re-add in between).
Should I contact support before doing a factory reset?
If the tracker is mission-critical, yes. But if re-pairing (Fix 3) and updates (Fix 5) fail, a factory reset is usually the most decisive action.
Bottom Line
When Android Find Hub trackers keep adding dual-network support, it’s almost always a configuration finalization problem—stale pairing records, missing Nearby/Bluetooth/location permissions, or a network block that prevents the app from confirming capability changes.
