If you qualify for the Amazon Prime settlement, you do not need to submit a new claim for the current automatic-payment rounds. Amazon is sending payments by PayPal, Venmo, or check. The payment expires 60 days after it is issued, so follow the instructions promptly. Eligibility depends on how you enrolled or tried to cancel, when it happened, and how many Prime benefits you used—not simply on having had a Prime subscription.
Who may qualify for the Amazon Prime settlement?
According to the FTC’s current refund guidance, you must meet all three conditions:

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- You were an Amazon Prime customer in the United States.
- Between June 23, 2019, and June 23, 2025, you signed up through one of the challenged enrollment flows or tried but failed to cancel through Amazon’s online cancellation flow.
- You used no more than 20 Prime benefits in any 12-month period after enrolling.
Amazon uses its business records to identify potentially eligible consumers. The FTC’s guidance names the universal Prime decision page, shipping selection page, single-page checkout, and Prime Video enrollment flow as challenged enrollment flows. It counts Prime Music and Prime Video products offered free to subscribers among Prime benefits. A Prime membership by itself does not establish eligibility.

Do you need to file a claim now?
No new claim or paperwork is required for the current automatic-payment phases. The original claim-form deadline was July 27, 2026, according to the court-approved revised order. That deadline has passed, but the revised process extends automatic payments to additional eligible groups.

When and how will the payment arrive?
Amazon sends payments by PayPal, Venmo, or mailed check. The FTC says eligible consumers should receive their refund by April 2027. Under the revised order, automatic payments to eligible consumers who used 11 to 20 Prime benefits were to begin by October 1, 2026; this group excludes people already paid from the Consumer Fund.
Any payment expires 60 days after its issue date. Check the payment instructions and act within that period. For payment assistance, the FTC lists the settlement administrator at [email protected] or 1-888-999-8094. You can also check the FTC refund page and the settlement administrator’s website.

How much could you receive?
The maximum total payment is $200 per eligible consumer. Earlier phases capped payments at $51; under the revised order, additional payments may bring a consumer’s total up by as much as $149, subject to the order’s conditions. The actual amount depends on eligibility and payments issued and accepted.

What to do if you have not received a payment
- Compare your enrollment or unsuccessful cancellation circumstances, dates, and Prime benefit use with the eligibility requirements above.
- Check the email address associated with your Amazon account and your postal mail for payment instructions.
- For an individual payment question, contact the administrator using the email address or phone number listed above, or verify details through the official refund pages.
The FTC says only eligible Prime customers will receive refunds. Public guidance cannot confirm whether a particular person was identified or whether a payment was issued; Amazon’s records and prior payment history determine those individual details.
How to recognize a refund scam
The FTC says it is not contacting consumers about these refunds. It will never demand money, threaten you, tell you to transfer money, or promise you a prize. Amazon will not ask you to pay a fee to receive a refund. Treat requests for payment or claims of guaranteed special access as scams; verify a notice through the FTC refund page or settlement administrator before sharing personal information.

What the settlement covers
The FTC describes the overall settlement as $2.5 billion: $1.5 billion in consumer redress and a $1 billion civil penalty. More than $845 million in redress had been issued by September 2026. These figures describe the settlement as a whole, not an individual consumer’s refund.
