Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →A Motorola handset identified as XT2527-3 was reported in May 2025 to have appeared in China’s TENAA certification data, with specifications pointing to a large-battery phone and a 6.67-inch OLED screen. The device was widely believed to be the China-market Motorola S60 Neo and possibly a regional counterpart to the Moto G86—but Motorola had not confirmed either name or the connection. Treat the details below as leak-derived, not a final product specification sheet.
What the reported TENAA listing shows
Coverage published on May 27, 2025, associated model number XT2527-3 with a Motorola handset listed in China’s TENAA certification data. My Mobile India also reported certificate number 02-B478-251545; that number is secondary reporting, not independently verified here against an accessible original TENAA record. Gizmochina’s report and My Mobile India’s report are the basis for the listing details.
TENAA certification can indicate a device has gone through a Chinese regulatory filing and can expose hardware or dimensions. It does not, by itself, confirm the final retail name, a launch, international availability, pricing, software, network bands, camera tuning, or marketing features. News reports may also combine regulatory data with separate leaks and predictions.
Reported specifications, with confidence separated
The table distinguishes details attributed to the reported TENAA data from claims that depend on other reporting or interpretation. Even the TENAA-attributed entries remain leak-reported rather than an official Motorola retail specification sheet.

| Item | Reported information | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Model number | XT2527-3 | Reported as part of the alleged TENAA certification. |
| Display | 6.67-inch OLED; 1220 × 2712 pixels | Reported from TENAA-derived coverage; “1.5K” is a shorthand description of the resolution. |
| Refresh rate | Possibly 120Hz | Secondary coverage; not clearly established by the basic specification summary. XpertPick includes this in the broader leak framing. |
| Processor | 2.5GHz octa-core | Reported processor information; the commercial chipset identity is not firmly established by the available TENAA-derived details. |
| Chipset identity | MediaTek Dimensity 7300 | Leak-based identification or prediction, not a confirmed TENAA specification in the cited summary. |
| RAM | 8GB, 10GB, 12GB, 16GB | Reported configurations; final retail options are unknown. |
| Storage | 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB | Reported configurations; the unusually high 1TB tier may not reach retail. |
| Expandable storage | microSD slot | Reported by coverage; verify against any final regional model. |
| Rear cameras | 50MP + 8MP | Reported dual-camera configuration; megapixels do not establish image quality. |
| Front camera | 32MP | Reported. |
| Fingerprint reader | Under-display | Reported. |
| Battery | 6,520mAh rated capacity | Reported TENAA-style rated value; a separate estimated typical capacity is not confirmed. |
| Charging | Possibly 33W | Cross-report claim, not firmly established by the cited TENAA summary. |
| Dimensions and weight | 161.21 × 74.74 × 8.65mm; 192g | Reported measurements. |
| Speakers and durability | Possible dual speakers with Dolby Atmos; possible IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H | Outside-TENAA claims; not confirmed specifications. |
Battery figures are not interchangeable
The reported 6,520mAh figure is a rated capacity. Regulatory documentation may use a rated figure while advertising uses a somewhat higher typical capacity. Coverage suggested approximately 6,720mAh as a possible typical figure, but that is an inference, not a confirmed retail rating. Do not treat both numbers as independently verified specifications.
Some reports also mentioned a 5,200mAh battery for certain markets. The available reporting does not establish whether that figure refers to a distinct regional version, a later correction, or confusion with another Motorola model. It should not be combined with the China listing as though both values describe one confirmed phone. The 33W charging claim is likewise unconfirmed.

Why the S60 Neo was linked to the Moto G86
The identification is plausible, but not official. Motorola previously sold the Moto G85 as the Motorola S50 Neo in China. Reports reasoned that a next-numbered S-series Neo could be called S60 Neo, then connected XT2527-3 to the expected Moto G86 based on timing and leaked specifications. Gizmochina’s coverage presents that connection, but the naming pattern does not prove a one-to-one relationship.
The careful description is “the alleged China-market Motorola S60 Neo, potentially a regional counterpart of the Moto G86.” Motorola confirmation of that equivalence was not present in the cited reporting. Even if related, regional phones can differ in battery, memory, software, network support, and retail branding.

What renders and other leak claims can—and cannot—tell you
The initial report said publicly visible device images were not included with the TENAA entry. Some outlets illustrated coverage with leaked Moto G86 renders or other unofficial images. Such an image should be labeled as an alleged render or illustration, not as a TENAA certification image; it does not establish the final S60 Neo design.
Claims about Dolby Atmos, dual speakers, IP68/IP69 protection, and MIL-STD-810H are separate leak claims rather than details established by the core TENAA specification summary. The same caution applies to the Dimensity 7300 identification and 120Hz refresh rate. No benchmark or camera-performance conclusion follows from these reported component figures.
What remains unconfirmed, and what buyers should do
- Launch, price, and availability: certification reporting does not confirm a retail launch in China or elsewhere.
- Global identity and specifications: a China-market S60 Neo should not be assumed to be identical to an international Moto G86.
- Software, bands, and support: the reported listing does not settle regional network compatibility, Google services, warranty coverage, or update policy.
- Final configuration: RAM and storage tiers, battery capacity, charging, durability ratings, and other features may change or may be market-specific.
As of the reporting cited here, Motorola had not officially announced the S60 Neo. Do not wait for it as a guaranteed product or treat a marketplace listing using that name as official without a verifiable Motorola product page. Before considering an import, confirm the exact model’s network bands, software region and Google services, local warranty, and charger compatibility. Also note that Motorola’s similarly named motorola edge 60 neo is a different device; its official support page identifies it separately: Motorola edge 60 neo specifications.
