Community guides report eight breathing trainers in Slayers 2, with level 25 commonly described as the starting requirement. Reaching a trainer does not necessarily unlock a style: guides say players must also complete the trainer’s exercises and defeat a trainee. Locations and material costs are not consistently verified, so check the NPC’s current dialogue before setting out or farming.
Before you travel: level, unlock steps, and preparation
Community guides describe level 25 as the gate to starting breathing acquisition. They also report a quest sequence beyond the level requirement: speak with the trainer, complete assigned exercises, then win a trainee encounter. The exact live quest details may vary, so follow the trainer’s in-game prompts rather than assuming that arrival or level alone completes the unlock.

Routes often involve cliffs, rooftops, or stacked climbs. Wall Climb is reported as useful, and Double Jump may help with some approaches. Water’s reported route uses a submerged passage, while routes in Iceveil Valley involve cold exposure. These are route considerations, not a confirmed universal build requirement.
All eight reported breathing trainer locations
The map guides describe early regions in a rough sequence: Windy Peak, the bear area, Bamboo Grove, and Mistfall Harbor. Butterfly Estate is across a bridge from Mistfall Harbor; Iceveil Valley is reached later along a snowy route. Use the landmarks below as leads, not guaranteed coordinates. Community sources disagree on several placements.
#1 Best Overall
- Easier mouse movement for easier wins: Game at the speed of ultra-light with the Pulsefire Haste 2. Featuring a solid shell, but still weighing in at just 53g*, it’s designed to help you move quicker, game better, and feel less fatigue.
- Incredibly precise HyperX 26K Sensor: Say hello to our HyperX 26K Sensor. It’s capable of up to 26,000 DPI natively and can track at speeds up to 650 IPS. With that level of precision, making clutch plays has never been easier.
- 8000Hz polling rate for maximum performance: The HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 reports in up to 8 times per millisecond. That’s a signal every .125 MILLISECONDS. Ensure you never lose a one-on-one because of mouse input lag again.
- Reduce cable resistance with the HyperFlex 2 Cable: HyperX built our super-flexible HyperFlex 2 Cable out of paracord material to facilitate smooth, free-flowing mouse movement and prevent cable snags in clutch situations.
- Durable, Satisfying HyperX Switches: Rated for up to 100 million clicks, HyperX mouse switches provide solid tactile and audible feedback on every satisfying click.
| Style | Trainer name reported | Reported landmark and route | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Serpent | Obari | Cliff above Windy Peak or the starter fields; guides describe climbing a mountain wall. | Exact route details vary between community descriptions. |
| Water | Sakonji Urokodaki | One guide places him in Bamboo Grove, reached through a submerged passage near the waterfall and island house. Another places him near the mother-bear cliff. | The landmarks conflict. Confirm the NPC’s location in the live game; if attempting the underwater route, losing the path may cause drowning. |
| Flame | Rengu or the Flame trainer | Reported near Mistfall Harbor’s red bridge and a nearby rooftop or house. | One location source says the position is unverified, although other guides give a route. |
| Thunder | Zentaro or Gramps (Jigoro Kuwajima) | Reported at a mountain summit above the bear area or near Bamboo Grove. | Names and geography differ between guides; Wall Climb is reported as useful. |
| Stone | Gyorei | Reported near a stone temple or a lower mountain branch. | Exact placement is unsettled; another guide mentions an Axe and Mace gate on the route. |
| Insect | Shinora | Reported on the Butterfly Estate or Butterfly Mansion roof or upper walkway; look above or behind the main building. | Descriptions point to the same general area but do not establish a precise spot. |
| Sound | Tengai | Reported along a snowy route and cliffs in Iceveil Valley. | Guides describe climbs and cold exposure; material requirements vary. |
| Wind | Saneri or the Wind trainer | Reported on a water platform in Iceveil Valley. | One guide reports 30 Demon Horns; another reports about 50 and mentions an ice or cold preparation requirement. Check the live dialogue. |
Route notes by region
Windy Peak, the bear area, and Bamboo Grove
Windy Peak is described as the starting highlands, with the bear area between it and Bamboo Grove. This makes the area a useful orientation point for Serpent, Thunder, and the competing Water route descriptions. A map reference gives this broader progression flow, but it does not resolve the conflicting trainer landmarks: Slayers 2 map and locations.
Mistfall Harbor and Butterfly Estate
Mistfall Harbor sits on the coast in the community map descriptions, and the red bridge is the reported Flame landmark. Butterfly Estate lies across the bridge from the harbor; look around the roof and upper walkway for the reported Insect trainer. A separate guide notes that Final Selection progression can continue from the Butterfly Estate area, but that is not necessary merely to locate the trainer. See the region map at Slayers 2 Map and Locations.

- Comfort Grip with Details - The skin-friendly frosted coating is the main comfort grip of the mouse surface, which offers you the most enjoyable fingerprint-free tactility. The left side equipped with rubber texture strengthened the friction and made the mouse easier to control.
- 5 Decent Backlit Modes - Turn the backlit on and make some kills in your gaming battlefield. The hyped dynamic RGB backlit vibe will never let you down when decorating your gaming space, it would be better with other Redragon accessories with lights on.
- Fatigue Killer with Ergonomic Design - Solid frame with a streamlined and general claw-grip design offers a satisfying and comfortable gaming experience with less fatigue even though after hours of use.
Iceveil Valley
Community guides put Sound and Wind in Iceveil Valley. Expect snow, cold exposure, and climbs; the precise approach and material asks are not consistent across descriptions. The available route information does not establish one mandatory preparation setup.
Do breathing trainers have fixed costs?
No consistent, authoritative cost list is established by the community guides. A Slayers 2 Wiki guide reports Thunder at 10 Demon Horns plus 6,000 Wen and Wind at 30 Demon Horns, while marking several other costs as unpublished or unverified. Another guide gives approximate requirements for Flame, Water, Wind, Sound, and Serpent that do not fully agree. These are community-reported figures, not confirmed current prices. Check each trainer’s dialogue before farming materials; the cost guide is at Slayers 2 All Breathing Trainer Locations.

- Incredibly precise HyperX 26K Sensor: Say hello to our HyperX 26K Sensor. It’s capable of up to 26,000 DPI natively and can track at speeds up to 650 IPS. With that level of precision, making clutch plays has never been easier.
- Durable, satisfying HyperX Switches: Rated for up to 100 million clicks, HyperX mouse switches provide solid tactile and audible feedback on every satisfying click.
How to use these routes without wasting a trip
- Reach level 25. Community guides identify this as the usual starting gate for breathing acquisition.
- Check the in-game map and identify the region. Use the landmarks above to narrow the search, especially where the guides offer conflicting placements.
- Prepare for the terrain. Consider Wall Climb and, where helpful, Double Jump for cliffs and rooftops. Take care on the Water route if using the reported underwater passage, and account for cold exposure in Iceveil Valley.
- Talk to the trainer before farming. Read the live requirements and quest instructions rather than relying on an older or conflicting cost estimate.
- Complete the quest sequence. Follow the trainer’s exercises and the reported trainee fight; reaching the NPC is only the start of the unlock.
All four route references are unofficial community resources rather than developer documentation, and their location and cost details may change with game updates. None of the cited route pages establishes a universally best breathing style by strength, so choose based on your preferred style and the route you can manage.
