Mojang has confirmed the system, but has not published a complete official catalog, so treat the names and acquisition routes below as community-reported and subject to change.
What talismans do—and what is confirmed
Mojang design lead Laura de Llorens described talismans as “passive boosts” in the Official Xbox Podcast on September 26, 2026. Xbox Wire’s June 10, 2026 hands-on preview showed three talisman slots and a bone that summons a dog companion in its demo. The preview also describes an Effects and Enchantments menu that collects item effects. These official materials confirm the system, not every item name, effect, or route in the list below.

Quest-reward talismans
ShowGamer’s October 2, 2026 launch-week guide lists 15 talismans as quest rewards. Quest names and reported effects below come from that community guide, not an official Mojang item catalog.

The guide reports talisman levels 1–3, with stronger values at higher levels for many effects. Exact percentages are not included here because community databases may differ; check the item’s current in-game effect rather than relying on an unverified number.
Eight hidden talismans
The launch-week secret-location guides identify eight hidden talismans to collect before the Mosstrosity route opens. Three of the reported finds—Glowstone Flask, Ocelot’s Paw, and Soul Chip—depend on a generated room or wall layout, so a missing location may mean the needed layout did not appear on that run.

The ninth secret-set talisman: Wonderful Wheat
After collecting the eight hidden talismans, launch-week guides report that a secret route opens in Howling Woods. Defeat Mosstrosity there to receive Wonderful Wheat, which the guide says summons a llama companion. The eight-item requirement and reward route were checked in game on October 1, 2026 by Dungeons2Build; they remain community-reported rather than an official drop table.
How to choose which talismans to use
There is no universal best trio: choose around the build or problem you want to address. The reported effects fall into several useful groups:

- Survivability and healing: Sigil of Beeswax, Healing Heart, and Wobblestone.

Use the in-game Effects and Enchantments menu to compare the effects available on your items, then equip the three that address your current need.
