Each ghost appears during a one-hour in-game window—about two real minutes—so arrive early and check both nearby spawn points when needed. The route and reward details below are reported by GTA Boss’s October 1, 2026 guide; Rockstar’s official announcement linked here covers the 2024 event, not this 2026 route.

The times below are in-game time. Ghosts 1–9 may be photographed in any order; ghost 10 is the final appearance and requires the other nine photos first. Each regular ghost reportedly has two nearby possible spots, while the final ghost has one.

How to photograph a ghost
- Travel to the location before its listed window begins. The guide estimates that one in-game hour lasts about two real minutes, so the appearance window is brief.
- Open the in-game phone camera, Snapmatic, and frame the ghost clearly for the photo.
- If the first spot is empty, search the alternate nearby spot listed in the table. Keep some distance: the guide warns that a ghost may disappear if you get too close.
- Photograph ghosts 1–9 in whichever order suits your route, then go to Paleto Cove for ghost 10 during its next eligible midnight window.
When Devin Weston appears
Devin Weston’s ghost is reported at Paleto Cove between 00:00 and 01:00, and only after all nine other ghosts have been photographed. If you complete ghosts 1–4 before the midnight window, you can attempt the final photo that same in-game night. If your ninth photo is one of ghosts 5–9, you may have to wait until the next midnight window.

Reported rewards and event dates
GTA Boss’s October 1, 2026 coverage reports GTA$20,000 and 500 RP for each ghost, plus a GTA$50,000 final completion bonus. It gives the base total as GTA$250,000 and 5,000 RP, and reports a 2X GTA$ bonus for the event. These are guide-reported 2026 figures, not confirmation from Rockstar. The same guide lists a Ghosts Exposed Jacket and gives the event end date as TBC. See its 2026 route and event details.
For historical context only, Rockstar’s October 10, 2024 announcement said photographing all 10 apparitions would award the Ghosts Exposed Outfit and, for players who had missed it the previous year, the Albany Brigham’s Ghosts Exposed Livery. That announcement confirms the 2024 event and rewards; it does not verify the 2026 route or rewards.

Why older location lists may not match
Ghosts Exposed is year-sensitive: the locations, order, appearance times, and rewards can change between Halloween events. The 2024 Los Santos route had different locations and a different first-appearance time, so do not mix it with the 2026 route above. The 2026 details here are reported by GTA Boss; the Rockstar source available for comparison is specifically its 2024 announcement.
