Alfahosting vs FastComet: Key Facts for Choosing a Web Host

Alfahosting lists Germany-based servers and more shared-hosting storage; FastComet advertises low first-term prices and unlimited sites on its upper tiers. Compare the details that determine the better fit.

Neither Alfahosting nor FastComet is an evidence-supported universal winner. Alfahosting stands out for its Germany-based servers and larger listed storage allowances; FastComet offers lower advertised first-term prices and unlimited websites on its two upper shared-hosting plans. The right choice depends on your billing term, site count, storage needs and preferred server location—not on unverified claims about speed or reliability.

How do the plans compare?

The figures below are published on the providers’ official pages accessed in 2026. Prices and specifications can change, and the two providers present billing and tax details differently.

Plan tier Alfahosting FastComet
Entry Multi L v3: €5.99/month for 12 months or €6.99/month for one month; 75 GB SSD Starter: $1.99/month promotional price ($9.95 regular); 10 GB NVMe; one website
Second €10.99/month for 12 months or €11.99/month for one month; 150 GB SSD Essential: $2.99/month promotional price ($12.95 regular); 20 GB NVMe; one website
Third €13.99/month for 12 months or €14.99/month for one month; 300 GB SSD Plus: $3.99/month promotional price ($17.95 regular); 30 GB NVMe; unlimited websites
Upper tier Business XL v3: €27.99/month for 12 months or €28.99/month for one month; 600 GB SSD Extra: $5.49/month promotional price ($24.95 regular); 40 GB NVMe; unlimited websites

Alfahosting prices and storage are from Alfahosting’s web-hosting tariff page; FastComet prices, storage and website limits are from FastComet’s pricing page. The storage labels are the providers’ own; they do not establish a real-world speed advantage.

What will you actually pay?

Alfahosting: term and setup fee matter

Alfahosting displays monthly prices for both one-month and 12-month contracts, and says its prices include statutory VAT. Its 12-month prices have no setup fee; a one-month contract carries a €9.99 setup fee. The listed 12-month prices are not equivalent to the one-month option’s displayed rate, so check the full checkout total for the term you intend to select.

FastComet: distinguish the promotion from the regular rate

FastComet’s listed promotional prices apply to the first billing term, while the page also shows regular prices. Its pricing FAQ says subscriptions are prepaid for their subscription periods. Compare the amount due now with the rate and term that apply afterward; do not treat the promotional monthly figure as an ongoing price.

The currencies, tax presentation and billing details differ, so the displayed figures alone do not establish which provider costs less over an equivalent period. Verify the current checkout total, renewal rate and applicable taxes before buying.

Which host fits your site and location?

Choose Alfahosting if Germany-based servers and storage are priorities

Alfahosting says its servers are in Germany, and its listed shared-hosting plans range from 75 GB to 600 GB SSD. That makes it the more apparent fit if you specifically want a Germany-located host or need the larger stated storage allowances. The pricing page does not establish every site or domain limit for each package, so confirm the exact allowance for your intended setup.

Choose FastComet if you need several websites on an upper tier

FastComet lists one website on Starter and Essential, and unlimited websites on Plus and Extra. Its shared plans list 10 GB to 40 GB NVMe storage. If you need multiple sites, the upper-tier site allowance is a useful distinction; check how the provider defines that allowance and whether the tier’s other limits suit your workload.

Verify FastComet’s location options

FastComet advertises multiple server locations, but its pricing comparison does not establish which locations a particular buyer can select. If geography matters for compliance, audience proximity or another reason, confirm the available location for your account during checkout. Alfahosting’s official page states, “Alle unsere Server stehen in Deutschland” (“All our servers are located in Germany”).

What safeguards and support are advertised?

These are provider-published features, not independent tests of service quality.

  • FastComet: the pricing comparison lists free website transfers of 1, 1, 2 and 3 across Starter, Essential, Plus and Extra, respectively. It lists daily backups with retention figures of 7, 7, 7 and 30 days across those same tiers.
  • FastComet: the page advertises 24/7 human support and SSL. Its pricing FAQ describes a 30-day money-back guarantee; review current terms and exclusions before relying on it.
  • Alfahosting: advertises 24/7 support. The captured plan details do not establish comparable migration or backup allowances.

Availability claims do not show how quickly support responds or how well a service performs under load. Neither provider’s plan page, by itself, establishes measured uptime, speed or support-response quality.

How to make the decision

  1. List the number of websites you need now and expect to host, then verify each provider’s exact site and domain limits.
  2. Estimate storage needs and compare them with the listed plan capacity: 75–600 GB SSD at Alfahosting versus 10–40 GB NVMe at FastComet.
  3. Decide whether a Germany-based server is essential. If considering FastComet, verify which locations are selectable for your account.
  4. Compare the checkout total for your chosen billing term, including Alfahosting’s applicable setup fee and FastComet’s post-promotion rate.
  5. Check the exact plan’s database, email, backup and transfer allowances, as the official pages do not present all details symmetrically.

Which web host is better?

Alfahosting is the stronger apparent fit for buyers who prioritize Germany-based servers and higher listed shared-hosting storage. FastComet is the stronger apparent fit for buyers who need unlimited websites on an upper shared tier or are evaluating a low initial promotional price and understand its first-term limitation. A broader claim that either host is faster, more reliable or better supported would require independent, comparable testing that these plan pages do not provide.
