The recommended configuration raises that to a Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-11700, 16 GB RAM and an RTX 2070 with 8 GB. NCSoft recommends an SSD and lists FHD compatibility presets of Very Low at minimum and Low at recommended. These specifications are a starting point for checking your PC, not a guarantee of frame rate.

These are the configurations NCSoft publishes for compatibility. The FAQ does not attach a frame-rate target to either tier. NCSoft’s Aion 2 Global Support FAQ lists the figures and preset notes.

How to check whether your PC meets the minimum
- Check Windows and DirectX. Confirm you use a 64-bit edition of Windows 10 or 11 and that DirectX 12 is supported. On Windows, type dxdiag into Start search and open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool to inspect the system and display tabs.
- Identify your processor, RAM and graphics card. Open Task Manager with Ctrl+Shift+Esc and select Performance. Compare the listed CPU and memory with the minimum above; under GPU, check the graphics-card model and dedicated memory. A desktop with multiple GPUs may show more than one entry.
- Check free space on the intended game drive. In File Explorer, select This PC and look at the drive’s available capacity. The published PC requirement is 100 GB available space.
- Compare each part to the same tier. A PC that clears the minimum is not thereby at the recommended tier. The requirements provide no rule for predicting the performance of a machine that mixes parts from the two columns.
If a component is below the published minimum, that is a mismatch with NCSoft’s listed baseline; the FAQ does not say how far below it might still work. If your parts meet the minimum, use Very Low at FHD as the listed compatibility preset rather than assuming higher settings or a particular frame rate.

What to upgrade first
There is no universal first upgrade: the requirement table does not identify bottlenecks in individual PCs or compare hardware between tiers. Match the upgrade to the part that is actually below the baseline or to the goal you have for your system.
- RAM: The official figures move from 8 GB minimum to 16 GB recommended. Check installed capacity and whether your PC supports additional or replacement memory before buying.
- Graphics card: The listed global comparison is GTX 1050 Ti (4 GB) to RTX 2070 (8 GB). A card below the minimum is a clear mismatch with the published baseline, but the requirements alone cannot predict how a different card will perform.
- Processor: Compare your CPU with the Ryzen 5 2600 or Core i5-10500 minimum and the Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-11700 recommended tier. Check motherboard support and power or cooling constraints before replacing a desktop processor.
- Storage: If the game drive is short of space, free up or add storage; NCSoft recommends an SSD. Verify the PC’s drive form factor and interface before selecting a replacement or additional drive.
When comparing parts, keep the target clear: meeting the published minimum, matching the recommended tier, or aiming for a particular resolution and setting are different goals. The official requirements do not supply current market prices or controlled performance comparisons, so evaluate price and compatibility separately.

Storage: allow 100 GB and note the SSD recommendation
The global PC FAQ specifies 100 GB of available space and says “SSD Recommended.” NCSoft’s Taiwan PC requirements page gives the same available-space figure and SSD recommendation, while its separate client notes say the initial installation needs approximately 70 GB or more. Those are different statements: use 100 GB free as the published PC requirement, not the initial-install figure as the total space requirement. NCSoft Taiwan’s Aion 2 download and PC information describes installation through the PURPLE PC client.
The official pages do not specify a minimum SSD read/write speed, NVMe requirement, or motherboard interface. Before buying an internal SSD, check your PC’s supported drive type, physical size, interface and available slot or bay; the word “SSD” alone does not establish compatibility.

Regional requirements and PC release context
The table above is for the global PC version. NCSoft’s Taiwan requirements page lists extra AMD graphics options: Radeon RX 470 4 GB or higher at minimum, and Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB or higher at recommended. Its processor labels also differ slightly at minimum, listing Ryzen 5 2600X and Core i5-10500F; its recommended CPUs are Ryzen 7 3700X and Core i7-11700. Keep these regional listings separate rather than treating them as global FAQ specifications. NCSoft Taiwan’s PC requirements.
The Steam listing describes Aion 2 as PC-only, built on Unreal Engine 5, with an October 5, 2026 release date. Its requirements match the global support FAQ. Regional support and installation details may differ; the Taiwan download page, for example, describes PURPLE installation and also has mobile specifications. Aion 2 on Steam.
What the requirements do—and do not—tell you
NCSoft’s listed configurations and FHD presets help you judge whether a PC matches the published baseline. They do not establish how many frames per second a given part will deliver, how settings perform above or below FHD, or what results to expect from hardware between the two tiers. No representative benchmark results for the current global build are established by the official pages cited here. Avoid treating the minimum or recommended label as an FPS promise.
