GTSol360 says its AI chatbot auto-resolved 60% of support tickets after eight months across four clients. That is a company-reported case-study result, not an independently verified benchmark: the account does not publish raw data or explain how it defined “auto-resolved.” Its useful lesson is the system design it describes—routing, document retrieval, constrained answers, and human escalation—not a promise that another deployment will reach the same percentage.
What does “handles 60%” mean in this case?
In Umaar Ahmed’s article for GTSol360, the figure is described as 60% of tickets “auto-resolved” after eight months across four clients. The article does not specify the calculation’s numerator or denominator, what counted as a resolution, whether reopened tickets were excluded, or the measurement period used for each client. It also does not publish the underlying dataset or an independent audit. Treat the number as an attributed result, not a general performance expectation. Read the GTSol360 account on DEV Community.

A different vendor-published case study from Genesys says Beyond Bank’s bot handled around 60% of incoming Web Messaging requests. Genesys also reports 70,000 average monthly sessions, 3% of interactions forwarded to agents, 97% customer satisfaction on those forwarded interactions, and 82% of contacts handled within 20 seconds after deployment. Those figures concern a separate bank, channel, and deployment; they do not validate GTSol360’s result. See Genesys’ real-world stories.

Ahmed’s account describes a support operation handling more than 12,000 tickets a month with three full-time agents and a four-hour average response time. It also cites 47% cart abandonment on presale questions. The article does not establish a publication year for these figures, so they should be read as the conditions reported in the account rather than current operating statistics.

The first version was a fixed set of 400 question-and-answer pairs. The author reports that it reached 34% customer satisfaction and says the team moved toward a more flexible system. That figure is not accompanied by a survey method or sample size. The quoted warning from Ahmed, identified in the article as GTSol360’s CEO and its author, is: “Building a production AI chatbot is not a weekend project.”
How the described chatbot works
The account presents the system as four connected stages. Each stage addresses a different failure mode: sending a request to the wrong workflow, answering without relevant company information, inventing details, or trapping a customer in an unhelpful exchange.
1. Route the message
Incoming messages are classified as support, sales, general, or human handoff. This separates requests that need different treatment instead of sending every message directly to answer generation.

- Digital Stereo Sound: Fine-tuned drivers provide enhanced digital audio for music, calls, meetings and more
- Rotating Noise Canceling Mic: Minimizes unwanted background noise for clear conversations; the rotating boom arm can be tucked out of the way when you’re not using it
- Handy In-line Controls: Simple in-line controls on the headset cable let you adjust the volume or mute calls without disruption
- Plug-and-Play USB Computer Headset: Simply plug the USB-A connector into your computer and you’re ready to talk or listen without the need to install software
- Padded Comfort: Comfortable headphones with adjustable headband features swivel-mounted, leatherette ear cushions for hours of comfort and is easy to clean
2. Retrieve relevant business information
For support answers, the system searches business documents stored in Supabase Postgres with pgvector. The described configuration divides content into 500-token chunks with 100-token overlap, retrieves the five most relevant documents, and uses a similarity threshold of 0.75. These are the author’s reported settings, not established best practices for every knowledge base.
3. Generate an answer from the retrieved context
The language model receives retrieved documents and conversation history. The prompt rules described by Ahmed tell it to answer only from supplied context, acknowledge when it lacks an answer, and avoid inventing policies, prices, or promises. The system stores the last ten messages per conversation, according to the article.
This design makes the quality and coverage of the source documents consequential: a model constrained to retrieved context cannot reliably answer a policy question if the relevant policy is missing, stale, or not retrieved.

4. Apply guardrails and hand off
The article describes redaction for a narrowly defined 16-digit pattern, escalation for selected legal-trigger or negative-sentiment messages, and human handoff through Slack. These examples do not demonstrate comprehensive privacy or safety controls. A pattern check for 16 digits, for example, should not be mistaken for a general method of detecting or protecting every sensitive identifier.
What results does the article report?
Ahmed’s article reports the following before-and-after outcomes. The displayed publication date is “Sep 29” without a year, and the account does not publish its measurement method or raw data, so the figures cannot be independently assessed from the article.
| Measure | Reported result | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Tickets handled | More than 12,000 per month | Reported operating context; publication year not established. |
| Average response time | 4 hours before; 2.3 seconds after | Reported by GTSol360; calculation and timing method not stated. |
| Support staffing | 3 full-time equivalents before; 1 after | Reported by GTSol360; staffing scope and period not stated. |
| Customer satisfaction | 3.2/5 before; 4.6/5 after | Reported by GTSol360; survey method and sample sizes not stated. |
| Client retention | 67% before; 94% after | Reported by GTSol360; cohort and measurement period not stated. |
| Monthly AI cost | $340 | Reported by GTSol360; what costs were included and whether the figure recurs are not stated. |
| Auto-resolved tickets | 60% after eight months, across four clients | Reported by GTSol360; resolution definition and calculation method not stated. |
The article also says the team used a 200-query test suite, but does not publish its queries, scoring criteria, or results. That makes it impossible for readers to determine whether the suite covered the range of customer requests or whether performance improved against a stable test set.

What is needed to evaluate a chatbot’s resolution rate?
A high containment or automation percentage is not automatically evidence that customers’ problems were solved. A bot can avoid transferring a conversation while leaving the issue unresolved. To assess a deployment, define the metric before comparing results and track outcomes beyond whether an agent received the message.
- Define the denominator: specify which channels, tickets, clients, dates, and types of request are included.
- Define a resolution: say what evidence counts—for example, a confirmed answer or completed action—and how reopened, abandoned, or repeat contacts are treated.
- Track handoffs and outcomes: report escalation rates, customer satisfaction, repeat contact, and the share of cases resolved by a person after bot involvement.
- Publish the evaluation method: describe the test queries, scoring rules, time window, and whether results come from a live deployment or a test set.
- Separate channels and tasks: informational questions and authenticated transactions carry different risks and should not be collapsed into one automation rate.
What the case study can—and cannot—show
The article gives a practical outline of one implementation: route requests, retrieve company information, constrain generated answers, and provide a path to a human. Its reported settings and outcomes can help readers understand what GTSol360 says it built. Because key definitions, raw measurements, and evaluation materials are absent, the account cannot establish that the same design will produce the same results elsewhere or that the reported percentage represents verified customer resolution.
