Choose the layout and click behavior
In Edit gallery, choose between grid and masonry, set the number of images per row, adjust the gap between photos, and decide whether clicking an image opens a full-screen preview. That preview is on by default and can be turned off.
Grid
Grid displays images in strict squares, creating uniform tiles. Choose it when consistent tile shapes matter more than preserving each image’s original proportions.

Masonry
Masonry retains images’ original proportions, so tiles can have different shapes. It suits galleries where cropping every image into a square would lose useful composition.
Add, reorder, or remove images

Supported image formats include JPG/JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, and WEBP. You can upload files from the editor and organize them into folders. Add descriptive alt text where available so visitors using assistive technology can understand what an image shows.
The maximum image file size is 15 MB. That limit is stated in the image instructions, not in the gallery steps; check the current guidance if an upload fails.

| Choose | How it presents images | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Gallery | A group of images displayed together; visitors can browse them, with full-screen preview available on click. | Showing several photos at once, such as a collection of project images. |
| Slideshow | Images appear sequentially, with navigation controls and options for autoplay and looping. | A presentation where images should be viewed one at a time. |
The slideshow is a separate section, not another gallery layout. A vertical slideshow is not currently available.
When an embedded widget may make sense
If the built-in Gallery settings do not provide the customization you need, an optional third-party route is to use an embeddable photo-gallery widget. Choose and customize a widget with the provider, save it, copy its integration code, add that code through the embed code element, resize the embed if needed, and update the website. This requires extra setup and depends on an external provider; it is not necessary for a standard gallery.
