Age Twisters is a two-player co-op adventure in which partners switch between childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age to solve puzzles together. Its Gamescom preview suggests an approachable, story-led experience, but it was a short demo—not a final difficulty assessment. Steam currently lists the release date as “To be announced.”
What is Age Twisters?
Age Twisters is a cooperative narrative adventure from Piccolo Studio, published by KRAFTON, Inc. Steam describes it as a game for two players, with local and online co-op. Its story follows a grandfather and granddaughter searching for her mother, who disappeared years earlier. A package gives them Age Twisters bracelets, letting them change age forms in real time.

The family relationship is the story’s frame for working together; the central gameplay idea is that different ages bring different skills. Steam says players combine those age-specific abilities to get past hazards. At Gamescom, MP1st described the granddaughter as affectionately called Butterfly and reported puzzles that required both players to cooperate.

The preview’s examples show how changing age can affect the way players approach an obstacle. In the short demo described by MP1st, toddler forms used grappling hooks to cross gaps, while teenage forms used instruments to change the speed of objects and projectiles. Those are examples seen in that session, not a complete list of abilities.

Steam’s product description also advertises varied set pieces: growing palm trees, a desert chase, dancing to infiltrate a base, teleporting chickens, a suitcase disguise, an animatronic T-Rex ride and a dark spider nest. These are examples from the listing, not confirmation of the game’s complete level list.
What the Gamescom preview says about difficulty
MP1st found the demo’s puzzles manageable: not trivial, but unlikely to hold players up for long. The outlet also reported no true fail states in its brief session. That points to a potentially low-pressure entry point for pairs with different levels of gaming experience, but it does not establish how challenging the full game will be. The preview was short and based on a demo, not a formal accessibility evaluation.

How co-op and Friend’s Pass work
Steam lists both local and online co-op. Its Friend’s Pass means one player can buy the game and invite a second player to play for free. For local PC play, Steam lists full controller support; it does not say a controller is required.
For anyone choosing a co-op game, the useful questions are whether it supports the way you want to play together, whether both players need to buy it, how demanding its puzzles are, and whether partners have separate jobs or coordinate shared abilities. The available details establish that Age Twisters supports local and online play, offers Friend’s Pass, and builds puzzles around age-based cooperation. The demo report offers an early impression of puzzle difficulty, not a verdict on the whole game.

Release date, platforms and PC requirements
Steam currently says Age Twisters is not available and gives its release date as “To be announced.” MP1st reports the game for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC. A September 6 Windows Central preview described 2027 as the expected release window; that is a preview-era expectation, not a date confirmed by the current Steam listing.
