Yennefer is a Dimensional Mage and Buffer whose kit combines enemy disruption, team protection, and control effects. Her documented abilities make her a support-oriented option—not a proven must-build or top-tier pick. The mechanics below are listed by AFK.Guide, a fan resource not affiliated with Lilith Games, so treat them as guide-listed details rather than confirmation of the current patch.
What role does Yennefer fill?
AFK.Guide classifies Yennefer as a Dimensional, Intelligence, Mage, Buffer. Her kit is built around disrupting enemies and supporting allies: her passive can turn nearby opponents against one another, Magic Barrier reduces incoming damage for allied heroes, and Sorceress’ Wrath adds damage with knockback and stuns.

Lilith Games announced Yennefer and Geralt of Rivia as playable AFK Arena crossover heroes on September 21, 2022. The announcement describes her use of frost, thunder, and protective magic; it establishes the crossover’s history, not her current availability. Lilith Games’ 2022 announcement
What do Yennefer’s skills do?
Lilac and Gooseberries
This passive enchants enemies in range, causing them to attack one another with normal attacks. AFK.Guide lists a two-second effect and a ten-second trigger interval; upgrades extend the effect to three and then four seconds and reduce the interval to eight seconds. The guide also says that allied Geralt deals extra damage to enchanted enemies. That is a documented interaction, not proof that Geralt is her best teammate.

Sorceress’ Wrath
Yennefer alternates between frost and thunder attacks. The frost attack sends shards in a line and creates an ice storm in front of her, with repeated hits, knockback, and a brief stun. The guide lists 180% Attack Rating per hit before upgrades. The thunder attack hits enemies in front for a listed 220% Attack Rating and stuns them for two seconds. Upgrades raise the damage figures and add a multi-enemy thunder damage increase capped at 60%.
Magic Barrier and Yennefer’s Necklace
Magic Barrier appears at battle start and reduces damage allied heroes take from enemies on the opposing side. Listed upgrades add knockback and periodic damage: one level deals 200% Attack Rating every 12 seconds, while the next deals 300% every six seconds.
Her signature item, Yennefer’s Necklace, increases energy recovery for allied heroes inside the barrier when they take damage. Further listed thresholds increase that recovery, improve the barrier’s damage reduction according to how many allies are inside it, and suspend the barrier timer while no enemy is within it.
Frontline Tactics
BlueStacks describes Yennefer diving into a crowded enemy area, dealing 300% Attack Rating damage, imprisoning enemies for three seconds, then returning to her starting location. It also says she is invulnerable while the skill is active. AFK.Guide’s reviewed page does not describe this ultimate, so these specifics come from a secondary source rather than corroborated skill documentation. BlueStacks’ Yennefer guide

What do Yennefer’s furniture abilities add?
- 3/3: Increases Frost Magic range when Yennefer is in the allied backline.
- 9/9: When an enemy hero deals melee damage to her, she teleports herself and that enemy to their respective backlines and resets Sorceress’ Wrath. The effect can trigger once every 12 seconds, and she is immune to control during it.
These are AFK.Guide-listed effects. They describe what the furniture thresholds do, but do not establish how much value the investment delivers compared with other options on a particular account.
Is Yennefer good, and what team should use her?
Her mechanics point to disruption and protection as her clearest uses. The passive can interfere with enemy openings, the barrier mitigates damage across the battlefield, and her attacks add knockback and stuns. Her contribution is not limited to damage, but the available sources do not provide current win rates, formation data, or benchmark comparisons that would support a present-day ranking.
For team-building, use the kit as a guide to what she may contribute rather than as a fixed formation recipe. Consider whether a fight rewards disruption and damage reduction, whether you need her control more than another source of damage, and whether the Geralt interaction suits your available heroes. No source here establishes a universally best Yennefer team or proves that pairing her with Geralt is optimal.
BlueStacks characterizes her as PvP-oriented and describes some other skills as lackluster. That is a dated, unsourced editorial judgment, not verified current-meta consensus, so it should not be treated as a reliable ranking.

How should you think about investing in Yennefer?
There is no evidence-backed investment order or account-wide recommendation in the available character sources. Decide based on the role you need and the resources you can spare, rather than assuming every listed upgrade is mandatory.
- Prioritize the problem, not a ranking: If you need disruption or protection, assess whether those effects help in the battles you are trying to clear. If you mainly need damage, the documented utility may not answer that need by itself.
- Weigh signature-item and furniture costs against account needs: The guide lists added barrier and energy effects for the signature item and further control or range effects for furniture. Those mechanics do not establish their relative value against investments in your other heroes.
- Choose flexibility or synergy deliberately: Geralt has a listed interaction with enchanted enemies, but there is no comparative evidence showing that this pairing outperforms other ally combinations.
Can you get Yennefer in AFK Arena now?
The 2022 announcement called the crossover limited-time, while AFK.Guide provides no current acquisition instructions. Those sources do not establish whether Yennefer is obtainable now or unavailable. Check current in-game events or an official Lilith Games announcement for time-sensitive availability rather than relying on the historical crossover notice.
Sources and what they establish
AFK.Guide is the main source for the passive, attacks, barrier, signature item, and furniture details in this guide; it is a non-affiliated fan resource. Lilith Games’ dated announcement establishes the historical crossover context. BlueStacks supplies the secondary description of Frontline Tactics and its subjective PvP assessment. None of these sources establishes current meta performance, current patch accuracy for every listed mechanic, or present-day acquisition status.
