What AFK Arena asks you to manage
Lilith describes AFK Arena as an RPG set in Esperia, with distinct heroes and factions. In practical terms, progression means developing a roster, equipping the heroes you rely on, and choosing a formation suited to the fight. Your currencies then determine which roster or equipment needs you can address through the stores.

How to make combat progress
Build around a functional team
Choose heroes you can actually develop and field together, rather than chasing a lineup described as best for every account. The available publisher information establishes the importance of heroes and factions, but does not establish current hero rankings, skill interactions or mode-specific counters. Treat formation choices as dependent on the heroes available and the game mode you are attempting.
Upgrade heroes and equipment with a purpose
Prioritize the heroes you are using. The Lilith-hosted Stores & Tokens Management guide recommends focusing equipment on active heroes and gives boots and weapons precedence over hats and chest pieces. That is historical guidance, not a current universal gear order: the useful item can depend on the hero, mode and present balance. Check the live client before spending scarce resources on specific equipment, faction gear or upgrade stones.

Adapt the formation to the mode
A formation that works in one activity is not automatically the right answer elsewhere. The sources available here do not substantiate a current counter chart or an optimal mode-by-mode formation. Use your own roster and the encounter as the basis for adjustments, and avoid spending heavily on a hero solely because an old guide recommends it.
How to decide where AFK Arena currencies go
Before buying, check four things: where the currency comes from and how often you can earn it; what else it may be needed for; whether the item helps your current roster and stage; and whether the price, inventory, event window or progression gate is still current. These checks matter because historical store recommendations are not fully consistent and may no longer match the live game.

Labyrinth coins
The Lilith-hosted guide connects labyrinth coins to Arcane Labyrinth clears, stating: “You get labyrinth coins as you clear the Arcane Labyrinth.” The guide discusses using these coins in the relevant store, but its particular purchase priorities are dated. Check the current shop and any limited-time exchange before committing them.
Hero coins
The same guide says hero coins come from retiring common heroes. It also discusses hero-store priorities, but does not establish a purchase order that can safely be treated as current. Consider whether a proposed purchase fills a real roster need and verify the present inventory and cost in-game.

Challenger coins
The guide links challenger coins to rank in the Legends’ Challenger Tournament. Because the amount and value of that route depend on tournament performance and the live store, compare its current offers with your roster goals rather than relying on old thresholds or priorities.
Guild-store gear and daily-store resources
The publisher guide mentions gear in the guild store and resources in the daily store. These examples explain that currencies and shop choices are tied to different activities; they do not establish current prices, stock or best buys. Confirm those details in your client before spending.

Reserve currency when an exchange may matter
Older guides discuss saving some currencies for limited-time Dimensional exchanges, but their advice differs on how much to reserve and what to buy in ordinary stores. Treat this as a reason to check whether an exchange is active or announced in your game—not as a fixed saving rule. If an exchange is available, weigh its deadline and requirements against the permanent store items you would otherwise buy.
Why old store advice needs a live-game check
AFK Global’s Store Guide and Beginner’s Guide, along with Lilith’s forum guide, are several years old. Their priorities differ, including on saving currencies for Dimensional exchanges versus spending on ordinary-store items. They can help explain the kinds of choices players face, but do not establish today’s prices, unlock thresholds, inventory or best-value purchases. The live client is the authority for those details.

Check which AFK Arena version you play
The current Google Play listing describes AFK Arena: Companions and refers to linking and transferring a classic-server account. Do not assume that instructions for one experience, server or edition apply unchanged to another. Confirm the version and server shown in your game before following specific progression or store advice. The listing also indicates in-app purchases; spending money is separate from the roster and currency decisions described here.
