The AEG HK674400FB is a discontinued 60 cm, four-zone induction cooktop with a 7.4 kW connected load. Its documented controls and safety functions look comprehensive, but the practical buying questions are whether its cutout and electrical requirements suit your kitchen, whether compatible cookware fits, and whether the appliance or parts are available in your region. AEG Australia’s product page identifies it as discontinued; current retailer stock and pricing are not established here.

What is the AEG HK674400FB?

AEG Australia describes the HK674400FB, also identified as HK674400FB IB1, as a 60 cm Pure four-zone induction cooktop. It has a black ceramic-glass surface with bevelled sides. AEG marks the model discontinued on its product page and support page. That means the model should be treated as an existing appliance or possible remaining-stock purchase, not as a product confirmed to be in current production. Local retailer stock and street price were not established.

Does it fit your kitchen and electrical supply?

Check the cutout and electrical requirements before buying a remaining-stock unit or replacing an existing cooktop. AEG lists the following dimensions and connection details for the model:

These are model specifications, not a substitute for checking the installation at your home. Have a qualified installer confirm the existing opening, clearances and electrical circuit can accommodate the appliance and its load. The manual’s rating-plate excerpt identifies 220–240 V and 50–60 Hz, but manual copies surfaced for this model include differing product-number variants. Confirm the exact rating plate on the appliance you are considering and follow the instructions for that specific unit. AEG’s product page links its dimension sheet and fact sheet.

What do the controls and features do?

AEG lists touch controls under the DirekTouch name, along with functions intended to automate heat adjustment, pause cooking, manage timing and provide safety or status information. The descriptions below reflect AEG’s documentation, not verified performance testing.

What cookware fits the zones?

Induction requires compatible cookware, and the pan’s size matters as well as its material. AEG’s manual lists circular-zone cookware diameters of 125–180 mm. For bridge mode, the manual gives dimensions that vary by side: minimum 140 × 280 mm and maximum 210 × 330 mm. Check the cookware table in the manual for the regional version matching your appliance, and confirm the pan itself is induction-compatible before use. AEG notes that a wok is not included.

What do owner ratings and warranty details establish?

AEG Australia displays a rating of 4.7 from 17 reviews — AEG Australia, year not stated. The page does not provide review dates, methodology or enough individual review text to establish recurring owner experiences. The rating is a small manufacturer-page aggregate, not an independent test or a broad reliability measure.

Duxtop Portable Induction Cooktop, Countertop Burner 1800W Silver 9600LS
  • PORTABLE INDUCTION BURNER: Duxtop induction cooktop uses 110/120 V 15 amp electrical outlet–standard in all North American homes. ETL listed and built to North American electrical standards. It is lightweight and compact for easy handling and storage
  • Choose from 20 preset power levels (100 to 1800 W) and 20 preset temperature level settings (100 °F to 460 °F). With an 83% energy efficiency, induction burner is more efficient than traditional gas or electric stoves
  • DIGITAL LCD SENSOR: Touch control panel: child safety lock keeps the cooking and timer settings from being accidentally changed once they have been set; fast boil button; keep warm button (for 1-30 minutes at 140 °F); up to 10-hour timer button
  • Induction stoves rely on cookware to heat, so it’s essential to choose magnetic bottom cookware with a minimum diameter of 5 inches. Auto-pan detection will shut off automatically after 60 seconds if no cookware, or the incorrect cookware is detected
  • Although induction itself is a noiseless process, there may be high pitched sounds from the cookware due to multiple layers of metals sandwiched together. Please allow the induction cooker to cool down before cleaning

The product page also lists a five-year domestic warranty detail. Since the model is discontinued and warranty terms depend on market and purchase date, that listing does not establish coverage for a specific used or remaining-stock appliance. Confirm applicable written warranty terms with the seller and AEG before purchase.

Can you still buy one or get parts?

AEG Australia labels the model discontinued, but that alone does not establish whether a retailer in your location has remaining stock. Check directly with local sellers for availability, condition, included documentation and applicable warranty terms rather than relying on an old listed price.

For an appliance you already own, AEG’s support page links manuals, dimensions, repair booking and parts/accessories guidance. AEG’s UK shop lists multiple PNC variants for the model, so the model name alone may not identify a compatible spare. Read the rating plate and use the appliance’s exact PNC when checking parts with AEG or a seller. Regional availability and current compatibility need confirmation at the point of purchase.

Is the AEG HK674400FB right for you?

It may suit a kitchen that already has a compatible 560 × 490 mm opening and electrical provision for the listed 7.4 kW hardwired appliance, provided an installer confirms the details. Its four zones and documented functions offer a useful feature set on paper, but the sources do not establish real-world cooking performance. For a replacement purchase, weigh the fit and installation checks against the uncertainty around current stock, warranty eligibility and future parts support. When comparing it with another cooktop, compare cutout dimensions, zone and cookware flexibility, electrical requirements, controls, safety features and the actual local availability of both models.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
