Bandai Namco’s minimum-spec estimate targets upscaled 1080p at 30 fps on Low; its recommended-spec estimate targets upscaled 1080p at 60 fps on Medium. These are publisher estimates, not guaranteed frame rates, and the publisher warns performance may drop in graphics-intensive scenes.

Both tiers also require a 64-bit processor and operating system, Windows 11, DirectX 12, a hardware ray-tracing-enabled graphics card, DirectX 12 with Shader Model 6.6 or higher, an SSD, and 125 GB of available storage. The listed resolution is upscaled, not a claim of native 1080p rendering. Bandai Namco cautions that frame rates may drop in graphics-intensive scenes, so the recommended tier is not a promise of a locked 60 fps in every situation.

The official guidance is limited to the two preset targets in the requirements table: Low for the minimum configuration’s estimated 30 fps target, and Medium for the recommended configuration’s estimated 60 fps target. Bandai Namco does not publish a validated per-option settings recipe for other PC configurations or a universal way to stabilize frame rates.

If your hardware falls between the listed tiers, treat changes to individual graphics options as personal experimentation rather than a tested recommendation. The available official specifications also do not establish performance expectations for GPUs that are not listed. Hardware without the required ray-tracing capability or Shader Model 6.6 support does not meet the stated graphics requirements.
What to check if the game crashes on Steam
In a September 30, 2026 Steam Community product notice, the Ace Combat Team said it was investigating reports of unexpected Steam crashes. It recommended the following checks; these are troubleshooting suggestions, not confirmed causes or guaranteed fixes.

- Check your graphics-driver version and use the recommended driver shown when launching the game.
- Keep at least 16 GB of free space on the SSD where the game is installed.
- Make sure Windows virtual memory is enabled.

Flight-stick and HOTAS compatibility
A September 30, 2026 support update from the Ace Combat Team says: “At this time, some of the configuration options available for certain devices in ACE COMBAT 7 are not available in ACE COMBAT 8.” The team said it understood the frustration for HOTAS and flight-stick users and was reviewing improvements to bring the experience closer to Ace Combat 7. The notice does not certify any specific device model, so check for device-specific confirmation before buying hardware on the assumption that its full configuration options will work.

Bandai Namco announced a worldwide release date of October 2, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Its launch-day announcement described the game as available in early access. The announcement is available on the official Bandai Namco site.
The Steam news feed also says error ST-3100001 appears when communication with the ACE COMBAT ONLINE server is lost and suggests synchronizing Windows time. That is an online-connection troubleshooting step, not a graphics-performance setting.
