How to interpret the towing distances
The 50 km metro and up-to-200 km regional figures are headline descriptions, not a promise that every breakdown receives a tow for those distances in any direction. The guide’s summary sets out more specific regional rules: it describes attendance up to 200 km and towing back to a designated regional depot, then regional towing up to 50 km in any direction from the breakdown or designated depot, or a stated dollar limit, whichever is lower. It also lists up to 50 km of metro towing. Check the guide’s definitions and conditions for your location before relying on a particular route or destination.

Premium’s annual limit applies to benefits exceeding Standard Road Service; it is separate from the unlimited-call-out description. AANT’s current entitlements guide, accessed in October 2026, sets the limit at $3,500 in the first subscription year and $5,500 in each continuous subscription year thereafter. In practice, “unlimited call-outs” should not be read as unlimited payment for every consequence of every breakdown. Call-outs, additional benefits, eligibility, distances, and exclusions are distinct parts of the membership terms.
When Premium’s away-from-home support may matter
The guide describes extra benefits for qualifying breakdowns more than 100 km from home, including accommodation, a hire car, and recovery for the vehicle and passengers. These benefits are subject to their own conditions and limits. They are most relevant to members who make longer trips; someone whose driving is mostly local may have less use for them. This is a practical inference from the benefits AANT lists, not a guarantee of an individual outcome.

Consider Premium if the longer regional towing arrangements, support for a towed unit, and away-from-home benefits match trips you actually take. If you mostly drive short local routes, those features may be less valuable to you than to someone who frequently travels regionally. Premium is not automatically good value based on its feature list alone: AANT’s reviewed Premium page did not state the current consumer price. Check the live sign-up quote, any applicable discounts, and the current entitlements guide, then weigh the cost against the specific benefits you expect to use.
