Nintendo supports microSD Express cards up to 2TB on Switch 2, but the reported Suneast 2TB card is not confirmed as a released or purchasable product. A Reddit post dated October 4, 2026 says the card appeared in Suneast marketing and was not yet available to buy; no manufacturer product page or announcement verifies it. And “100+ games” is not a guaranteed capacity figure: how many games fit depends on their individual sizes and the card’s usable space.
What is known about the reported Suneast card?
A community post dated October 4, 2026 reports that a Suneast 2TB microSD Express card appeared in official marketing, while also saying it was not available for purchase. That is a report of a sighting, not confirmation from Suneast. No Suneast announcement, specification sheet, product SKU, price, release date, or purchase listing is established in the available sources. Treat the specific card as unconfirmed unless the manufacturer provides direct confirmation. Read the community report.

Nintendo’s 2TB support ceiling does not mean that every card at that capacity is an official Nintendo-licensed product. Nintendo says a microSD Express card meeting the standard can be used; the standard and capacity support establish compatibility, not a brand endorsement. Nintendo’s microSD Express FAQ.

The card type matters: Switch 2 is compatible only with microSD Express cards. A regular microSD card that works with the original Nintendo Switch does not provide game storage on Switch 2. Nintendo’s launch release lists 256GB of internal storage for the console, while its support documentation sets the microSD Express expansion limit at 2TB. Nintendo’s Switch 2 launch release.
Does 2TB mean space for 100 or more games?
Not as a universal promise. Nintendo documents the card capacity, not a number of games it will hold. Games vary in size, and the usable space available for games can differ from the card’s advertised capacity. A meaningful estimate would need to name the games or state the assumed average size, account for updates and downloadable content, and clarify whether it counts only card space or includes the console’s internal storage. The available evidence does not establish a published statistic supporting a general “100+ games” claim.
