Yes—but you need the Arctis GameBuds for Xbox edition. Connect its included 2.4GHz wireless dongle to the console and use the dongle’s Xbox mode. Bluetooth is a separate connection mode, not the Xbox connection method SteelSeries describes.
Which Arctis GameBuds editions work with Xbox?
“Arctis GameBuds” is a product family name, not a guarantee that every edition works with Xbox. SteelSeries identifies the Xbox edition as the one with a dual-mode dongle that supports Xbox as well as PlayStation and PC. Its official Xbox product listing describes the connection as plug-and-play on Xbox.

The distinction is the edition and its dongle support—not simply whether the product name includes “GameBuds.” SteelSeries’ comparison of Xbox and PlayStation editions explains that the Xbox model has the Xbox-specific dongle mode.
How to connect the Xbox edition
- Check the edition. Confirm the box or product listing says Arctis GameBuds for Xbox.
- Connect the wireless dongle. Plug the included dongle into the Xbox. Use the included USB-C to USB-A converter if needed for the console’s available USB port.
- Select Xbox mode on the dongle. The Xbox edition’s dongle has a separate Xbox mode and a PlayStation/PC mode.
- Use 2.4GHz mode on the earbuds. SteelSeries says a triple tap of an earbud switches between 2.4GHz and Bluetooth. For Xbox audio through the dongle, use 2.4GHz.

Why Bluetooth pairing is not the same as Xbox compatibility
The Xbox connection SteelSeries describes uses the 2.4GHz dongle. Bluetooth is a separate mode that SteelSeries describes for tunes and calls; tapping an earbud three times switches between the two wireless modes. Pairing the earbuds over Bluetooth therefore does not replace using the dongle in Xbox mode.

- Verify that you have the Xbox edition rather than assuming the PlayStation edition or Glorange variant will work.
- Check that the dongle is set to Xbox mode, not PlayStation/PC mode.
- Switch the earbuds to 2.4GHz mode with a triple tap if they are in Bluetooth mode.
- Use the included USB-C to USB-A converter if the console’s available port requires it; SteelSeries lists the converter in the Xbox product bundle.
SteelSeries’ compatibility pages describe support by edition and connection mode; they do not establish that every GameBuds variant connects to Xbox.
