Then verify the monitor mode, selected region and last check time. If the monitor’s history shows a change but you received no alert, check its alert and notification settings separately.
1. Check what the monitor preview can see
Open the monitor’s preview and look for the exact text, value or page section you expect Wachete to track. A page may appear to load normally in your browser while the content you care about is missing from the monitor’s preview.
- Open the monitor’s preview.
- Check whether the target content appears in the ordinary preview.
- If it does not, switch the preview to Dynamic mode and check again.
Wachete says static monitoring generally works for pages, but JavaScript-generated content may require Dynamic mode. Use the preview as the practical test: if the target only appears in Dynamic mode, the monitor needs that rendering mode to see it. See Wachete’s FAQ.
2. Troubleshoot missing or forbidden page content
If the preview shows a Forbidden response or otherwise fails to load the content properly, test Dynamic preview and a different monitoring location. Wachete recommends trying either change, or both together; it identifies bot protection as a common reason for Forbidden responses.

- Switch the preview to Dynamic mode and check whether the page content appears.
- Try another monitoring location available in Wachete.
- If the content is still missing, test the other option as well, so you can tell whether rendering mode or location affects the result.
Wachete’s FAQ mentions a rotating residential proxy as a possible option in some cases, not a guaranteed fix. The available guidance does not establish that any particular page or bot check can be bypassed.
3. Verify the monitored area
Wachete can monitor an entire page or a selected portion. If the monitor is set to watch only a selected region, a change elsewhere on the page may not count for that monitor. Reopen its preview and confirm that the selected area includes the content you care about. Wachete describes these monitoring options in its features overview.

4. Distinguish the last check from the last change
The time displayed in “My Monitors” represents when a change occurred, not necessarily when Wachete most recently checked the page. Open the monitor’s detail or history view and compare the last check time with the last change time. That tells you whether the monitor has checked recently and whether it has recorded a change since then. Wachete explains this distinction in its FAQ.
5. Exclude changing page noise carefully
Dates and other frequently changing elements can make it harder to follow meaningful changes. If those elements are interfering, use the preview to mark the noisy region for exclusion or enter an Exclude XPath in the advanced options.

Check the effect of an exclusion in the preview: a broad selector can hide useful content as well as noise. These exclusion options and examples are documented in Wachete’s FAQ.
6. If a change is recorded but no alert arrives
A recorded change and a delivered notification are separate things to check. If the monitor’s history shows a change, inspect that monitor’s alert type and notification settings. Wachete documents configurable alerts and notification endpoints, but its public materials do not establish whether a particular email, phone or other endpoint successfully delivered a specific notification. Its API documentation also describes alert and notification configuration.

What does not need to stay online
Wachete says monitoring runs on its servers, so your computer or phone does not need to remain online for a page to be checked. If checks appear absent, use the monitor details to inspect its check history rather than leaving your device running. See Wachete’s service overview.
