हर URL के लिए अलग request क्यों भेजें?
Thumbalizr के Embed API उदाहरण एक target URL के साथ request बनाते हैं। PHP और Python library के उदाहरण भी प्रति URL URL-generation और download दिखाते हैं; वे bulk endpoint का दावा नहीं करते। कई पेजों के लिए अपनी script में URLs पर loop चलाएं। हर URL का सफल या असफल परिणाम स्वतंत्र रूप से सहेजें। Thumbalizr API documentation और आधिकारिक library examples देखें।
Embed API request और authentication
दस्तावेज़ में request का रूप यह है:
https://api.thumbalizr.com/api/v1/embed/EMBED_API_KEY/TOKEN/?url=ENCODED_URL&mode=pageAPI key और secret सदस्य खाते में मिलते हैं। Secret को server-side configuration में रखें; उसे सार्वजनिक HTML या client-side JavaScript में न रखें। Thumbalizr query string और secret को जोड़कर MD5 token बनाने का तरीका दिखाता है। Token और भेजी गई query string का मेल जरूरी है।

दस्तावेज़ की चेतावनी है: “You need to ensure that all parameters are encoded correctly, especially the url parameter.” URL में &, ?, spaces या अन्य reserved characters हों तो भाषा की URL-encoding सुविधा इस्तेमाल करें। मनमाने string concatenation से query न बनाएं।
कई URLs capture करने का workflow
- Credentials लें: API key और secret अपने खाते से प्राप्त करें; secret को सुरक्षित server-side configuration में रखें।
- URLs की सूची बनाएं: हर item के लिए अलग request तैयार करें; प्रकाशित दस्तावेज़ में bulk endpoint नहीं दिया गया है।
- Query encode करें: URL और चुने गए options को सही encode करें।
- Token बनाएं: उसी exact query string और secret से दस्तावेज़ के अनुसार MD5 token बनाएं।
- Request भेजें और परिणाम सहेजें: मूल URL, response status, generated image या error को प्रति URL दर्ज करें।
- Quota जांचें: काम का आकार खाते की मासिक सीमा के भीतर रखें और बड़े काम को नियंत्रित batches में चलाएं। Batches आपकी script का तरीका हैं, Thumbalizr का documented batch API नहीं।
Capture options और plan सीमाएं
Embed API में width, format, quality, size, delay, bwidth, bheight और country जैसे parameters उपलब्ध हैं। Defaults profile से आ सकते हैं। उनकी range और tier availability अलग-अलग हैं, इसलिए पहले थोड़े URLs पर चुनी हुई settings जांचें।

Official demo के अनुसार Free tier में watermark, screen-size तक capture और fixed 1280×1024 browser size है। Silver में watermark हटाने तथा full-page या screen capture का विकल्प बताया गया है। Gold और Platinum में custom delay और US या European browser location का उल्लेख है। कौन-सा विकल्प आपके खाते में लागू है, यह plan के अनुसार जांचें।
Response status और failure handling
प्रत्येक response के ये headers देखें: X-Thumbalizr-Status, X-Thumbalizr-Generated और X-Thumbalizr-Error। Status को तीन अलग परिणामों की तरह संभालें:

एक URL का failure दूसरे URLs के परिणामों को न छिपाए। हर item के लिए status और error अलग log करने से दोबारा प्रयास या जांच आसान होती है।
आम समस्याएं और समाधान
- URL के query parameters टूटे हुए दिखें: URL को query string में सही encode करें, खासकर उसमें
&या?होने पर। - Authentication या token संबंधी failure: token बनाने में प्रयुक्त exact query string की तुलना भेजी गई query से करें; दोनों में अंतर न हो और secret सुरक्षित configuration से सही पढ़ा गया हो।
- Image तुरंत उपलब्ध नहीं:
QUEUEDका अर्थ processing जारी है; status और generated header रिकॉर्ड करें और परिणाम को तैयार घोषित न करें। - एक या अधिक URLs विफल:
X-Thumbalizr-StatusतथाX-Thumbalizr-Errorप्रति URL दर्ज करें, फिर उस URL की request और चुने हुए parameters की जांच करें। - विकल्प लागू नहीं होते या quota समाप्त होता है: feature और monthly limit plan पर निर्भर हैं; वर्तमान plan details और account dashboard देखें।
Legacy API कब इस्तेमाल करें?
Thumbalizr पुराने API को legacy बताता है और नई embedding के लिए Embed API की सिफारिश करता है। Legacy documentation उसे offline thumbnails डाउनलोड करने के लिए उपयुक्त बताती है, खासकर जब API key वेबसाइट के आगंतुकों से छिपाई जा सके। किसी खास legacy आवश्यकता के बिना नए implementation को Embed API पर रखें। नई API documentation
