If you want prerecorded videos to loop continuously on YouTube without keeping a computer running, start with a cloud streaming service. StreamNeo is the first option to consider: it runs an always-on YouTube stream from uploaded videos, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K at 60 fps for one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. Gyre is another cloud-loop option identified by YouTube’s verified encoder catalog. Restream is better suited to connecting YouTube as part of a multistreaming workflow; its reviewed documentation does not establish a native prerecorded-video loop feature.
Which Restream alternative fits a 24/7 YouTube stream?
| Option | Best fit | What is established | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Running uploaded videos continuously on YouTube without an always-on computer | Cloud looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, one flat price per slot for any uploaded quality up to 4K at 60 fps | Storage needed across active slots; current term and payment option |
| Gyre | Cloud looping of prerecorded videos | Gyre describes uploading files, arranging a playlist, scheduling it, and streaming continuously; YouTube lists Gyre in its verified encoder catalog | Current plan limits, storage, output options, and price |
| Restream | Adding YouTube to a multistreaming workflow | Restream documents connecting a YouTube channel and describes duration behavior and maintenance guidance | Destinations, restart cadence, archive expectations; native prerecorded-loop support is not established by the reviewed documentation |
| Local encoder | Direct control when you can keep a computer or hardware encoder running | YouTube supports software and standalone hardware encoders and recommends RTMPS | Power, network continuity, and encoder configuration |
There is no independent reliability comparison established for these options. Choose based on workflow and verified current plan limits rather than vendor growth claims.
What Restream does—and what it does not establish for prerecorded loops
Restream’s YouTube help explains how to connect a channel and describes YouTube archive behavior. It says YouTube archives only streams shorter than 12 hours; this is Restream’s guidance, not an independent test. For a 24/7 channel, do not assume that the complete continuous broadcast will be saved as one VOD. Restream’s YouTube setup and archive notes.
Restream also says it has no duration limit of its own, but warns that its servers may be restarted for maintenance during streams longer than 24 hours and advises restarting every 24 hours. That is operational guidance from Restream, not a YouTube duration cap. Restream’s duration guidance.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Restream documents YouTube integration, but the reviewed material does not confirm that it can take uploaded prerecorded videos and loop them natively as a 24/7 stream. If that is the central requirement, verify the current feature directly before choosing it.

Run a 24/7 stream with your own encoder
A local encoder sends video from your own computer or hardware device. You control the feed directly, but the encoder, power, and internet connection must remain available for the stream to continue. YouTube’s official guides cover software and standalone encoders, recommend RTMPS, and explain that resolution, frame rate, and bitrate must be configured in the encoder.

- Confirm channel eligibility first. YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, and YouTube’s cited help page says streamers must be at least 16. Check YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility and rules before troubleshooting encoder settings.
- Choose a software or hardware encoder. YouTube defines an encoder as software or hardware that converts outgoing video to a digital format for the platform. The encoder overview includes its verified encoder catalog.
- Set the stream connection and video settings. Use RTMPS where supported. Select a resolution and frame rate appropriate to the source video, then configure the encoder’s bitrate using YouTube’s current recommendations for that combination. YouTube provides the relevant tables in encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions; do not assume one bitrate suits every resolution and frame rate.
- Connect the channel with its stream key. Follow the encoder’s YouTube connection flow and use the channel’s stream key. Keep the key private; anyone with access to it may be able to send a stream to that destination. For a Restream connection specifically, Restream says the channel owner must authorize the channel, rather than a manager or editor account. See Restream’s YouTube connection instructions.
- Start the stream and monitor it. Confirm the encoder is sending video and that YouTube receives it. For a scheduled YouTube event, Restream says it can be started early or late without a timing restriction; check Restream’s scheduled-stream timing guidance if using its event workflow.
- Plan for continuity and archiving. A local setup depends on the device and connection remaining operational. If using Restream, account for its maintenance-restart guidance after 24 hours; if relying on a YouTube archive, remember Restream says streams must be shorter than 12 hours to be archived.
Eligibility, copyright, and monetization still apply
A continuous stream is not exempt from YouTube’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. YouTube can restrict a channel’s ability to live stream, so confirm the channel’s status and current rules before launch. The available guidance does not determine whether a particular channel’s reused material qualifies for monetization or is copyright-safe. Review the rights for every video, music track, and other asset, and check the channel’s own monetization and policy status; looping a video does not guarantee recommendations, watch time, or monetization. YouTube’s live-streaming rules and eligibility.
Common 24/7 streaming problems and fixes
- You cannot start a live stream: verify the channel, check for live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days, and allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- Restream cannot connect the channel: make sure the channel owner authorizes it rather than a manager or editor account, and complete YouTube phone verification and activation as required by the connection flow.
- The stream stops after a long run: distinguish a YouTube limit from a service maintenance restart. Restream advises restarting every 24 hours because its servers may need maintenance during longer streams.
- The VOD is missing or incomplete: Restream says YouTube archives only streams shorter than 12 hours. Do not plan on one complete archive for an uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast.
- The image is unstable or rejected: check RTMPS, then verify that resolution, frame rate, and bitrate match YouTube’s current recommendations for the encoder and source.
- A scheduled event does not begin at the expected time: Restream says YouTube events can be started early or late without a timing restriction; check the event and encoder connection rather than treating that timing behavior as a YouTube duration limit.
Costs and practical trade-offs
A cloud service substitutes a recurring service charge for the need to keep a local machine and connection operating. StreamNeo uses one price per slot regardless of uploaded quality up to 4K at 60 fps, with storage pooled across active slots; its terms range from a day to a year. Gyre’s displayed monthly prices and seven-day trial were observed on October 3, 2026, and its stream capacity and storage vary by plan. Restream’s reviewed guidance establishes YouTube connection and duration considerations, not a native prerecorded-loop feature. A local encoder may avoid a cloud-loop subscription, but requires suitable hardware and uninterrupted power and internet. Compare current features and the cost of keeping the local setup running before deciding.
