How to Loop Aarti Videos on YouTube Live Without a Gap

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

To repeat an aarti video during one YouTube Live broadcast, loop it in OBS Studio: add the video as a Media Source, select the file, and enable Loop. For several aarti videos, use OBS’s VLC Video Source with Loop Playlist. The loop happens in OBS before the feed reaches YouTube, so you do not need to end and restart the broadcast between repeats. It does not guarantee a gapless transition for every file or protect against a computer or internet failure.

What you need before starting

  • A YouTube channel that is verified and eligible for livestreaming. YouTube says channels must have had no livestreaming restrictions in the past 90 days; first-time live-stream activation may take up to 24 hours.
  • A computer with OBS Studio, the aarti video file stored locally, and a stable internet connection. The computer must remain on and OBS must keep sending the feed for this do-it-yourself method to continue.
  • For a playlist, VLC installed on the computer. OBS’s VLC Video Source depends on it.
  • Permission to use both the video and its audio in a livestream. Religious subject matter does not automatically grant rights to the recording or footage.

Loop one aarti video in OBS

  1. Prepare the scene. Open OBS and select an existing scene or create one. In the Sources panel, click + and choose Media Source.
  2. Select the file and enable looping. Give the source a name, choose the local aarti video file, and turn on Loop in the source properties. Confirm the preview plays and that the audio meter responds if the file includes sound.
  3. Connect OBS to YouTube. In YouTube Studio, open Create → Go live, then create or select an encoder stream. Copy the stream URL and stream key from YouTube into OBS’s stream settings. Treat the key like a password; do not share it publicly.
  4. Start the encoder and check the preview. Start streaming in OBS and wait for the feed to appear in YouTube’s Live Control Room. Check the picture and sound before clicking Go live in YouTube.
  5. Test a complete repeat. Watch through the end of the video and its return to the beginning in the preview or an unlisted test stream. OBS’s Loop option repeats playback, but it does not certify that every file will transition without a visible or audible pause. If you notice one, inspect the start and end of the file, the audio, and OBS playback behavior.

Loop a playlist of aarti videos

Use a playlist if you want different aarti videos to rotate instead of repeating one file at a time.

  1. Install VLC on the computer running OBS.
  2. In the OBS scene’s Sources panel, click + and choose VLC Video Source.
  3. Add the video files in the order you want them played.
  4. Enable Loop Playlist in the source settings, then check that the playlist plays through and returns to its first item.
  5. Use the same YouTube encoder connection and preview process as for a single video.

The single-file Media Source’s Loop setting repeats one selected file; the VLC source’s Loop Playlist setting repeats the playlist. They are separate controls.

Plan for stream duration, rights, and reliability

Copyright and Content ID

YouTube scans livestreams for third-party material. If it identifies content that remains in the stream, it may show a placeholder or interrupt or terminate the broadcast. Even if you have a licence, the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Confirm that your permissions cover both the aarti recording and any footage, and arrange allowlisting where required.

  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Archives and DVR on long streams

YouTube says livestreams under 12 hours are automatically archived. For streams longer than 12 hours, DVR may be limited or unavailable; viewers also cannot seek to a time before the livestream began. The 12-hour threshold is a platform limit to account for, not a recommended stream duration. If an archive matters, plan around YouTube’s documented limits rather than assuming a long broadcast will be saved or fully seekable.

Computer and connection interruptions

OBS’s loop setting only controls media playback. It does not prevent the computer from sleeping or crashing, or the internet connection from dropping. Keep the host computer awake, monitor OBS and YouTube’s stream health, and test the setup before relying on it for an important broadcast. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring stream quality; its guidance does not certify an unattended loop as failure-proof.

Troubleshoot common problems

What you see Likely cause What to check
The video stops after one play The single-file source’s Loop option is off, or the playlist’s Loop Playlist option is off. Open the relevant source properties and enable the correct loop control.
VLC Video Source is missing VLC is not installed on the computer running OBS. Install VLC, then reopen or reconfigure the source.
YouTube does not show an incoming feed OBS may have the wrong stream URL or stream key, or the encoder has not started. Check the stream settings in OBS against the encoder stream selected in YouTube Studio. Keep the key private; reset it in Live Control Room if compromised.
There is a pause or click at the repeat boundary The loop control repeats playback, but the media file or its audio may not join cleanly at the end and beginning. Test a full repeat. Inspect the file’s endpoints and audio, then adjust the media or playback setup and test again.
The livestream shows a placeholder or is interrupted YouTube may have detected third-party material, or the rights owner’s Content ID allowlist may not include your channel. Confirm rights for all video and audio and contact the rights owner about allowlisting if you are licensed.
The stream stops unexpectedly The loop setting does not protect OBS from a sleeping or failed computer, or a lost internet connection. Check whether the computer stayed awake, OBS remained open, and the connection stayed available; monitor stream health during the broadcast.
