If you want to broadcast a prerecorded yoga video continuously as a YouTube Live stream, create a stream in YouTube Studio and send it from an encoder configured to repeat the video. These are different actions: the player’s Loop control does not make a video Live.
Choose the kind of loop you mean

Repeat a yoga video while you watch
Open the video in YouTube, open the player’s settings or context menu, and select Loop. The control repeats playback in your viewing session; it does not create a public broadcast or a Live watch page. For a playlist, use its Loop control if you want the playlist to repeat rather than only the current video. See YouTube’s instructions for looping videos and playlists.
Broadcast a prerecorded yoga video as YouTube Live
1. Check live-stream eligibility
YouTube’s general guidance requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. The guidance also gives a minimum age of 16. If this is your first live stream, activation may take up to 24 hours, so check eligibility and activate the feature before you plan to broadcast. Requirements can depend on the account and YouTube’s current rules; do not assume every channel in India is automatically eligible. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
2. Create or schedule the stream in YouTube Studio
- In YouTube Studio, select Create > Go Live.
- Create a stream, or open the Manage tab to schedule one. Scheduling can provide a shareable watch page and let viewers set a reminder.
- In Live Control Room, copy the stream URL and stream key for the encoder. Treat the key like a password: anyone who has it may be able to send video to your stream. Keep it private and reset it if it is exposed.

3. Configure an encoder to repeat the video
Use an encoder running on a computer, or a standalone hardware encoder. Select the prerecorded yoga video as its media source, set that source to repeat or loop, then enter the YouTube stream URL and key in the encoder’s streaming settings. The exact source and repeat controls vary by encoder and version; YouTube’s connection guide does not prescribe a universal menu path for looping media. Do not look for the YouTube player’s Loop button in Live Control Room—it affects ordinary playback, not the outgoing Live feed.
YouTube says expensive equipment is not required for an encoder workflow. A computer capable of playing the file and running encoder software may be sufficient for a simple prerecorded broadcast; the right choice depends on the encoder and production you need. See YouTube’s streaming tips.

4. Preview, go live, and end the broadcast
- Start the encoder’s stream and wait for its signal and preview to appear in Live Control Room.
- For a scheduled stream, check the preview and select Go live when ready.
- When finished, end the stream in YouTube and stop the encoder.
YouTube states that streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That archive is useful for viewers who miss the broadcast, but it does not replace the need for permission to stream or retain the video and music.
5. Decide whether viewers should be able to rewind
Check the stream’s DVR setting in Live Control Room. With DVR enabled, viewers can pause and rewind during the Live stream and then continue watching. Choose the setting that suits the session; a continuous practice may be easier for viewers to follow if they can return to an earlier pose.

Protect the stream and your channel
- Have rights to both picture and sound. Use yoga footage and music you own or have permission to broadcast and archive. Crediting an owner is not the same as getting permission. YouTube’s terms place responsibility for required rights and compliance with applicable laws and regulations on the content provider: YouTube Terms of Service.
- Expect automated copyright checks. YouTube says live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content. If a match is identified, a placeholder may replace the stream; continued use can lead to interruption or termination. A license may not prevent an interruption if the rights holder has not added your channel to its Content ID allowlist. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.
- Check India-specific obligations for your situation. YouTube’s general encoder guidance does not establish a special India-only setup or a blanket exemption from local legal requirements. Confirm that your use and any music or footage permissions cover the places where you broadcast and make an archive available.
Troubleshooting a prerecorded Live loop
