Proton VPN’s 2026 Black Friday discount and start date have not been confirmed. As of October 3, 2026, Proton says seasonal deals will be available during the next Black Friday and Cyber Monday period, but gives no launch date. Its general deals page advertises up to 70% off, yet the displayed deal figures are placeholders—not a confirmed Black Friday offer.

When does Proton VPN’s Black Friday 2026 sale start?

Proton has not published a specific start date in the available information. Its official Black Friday page says, “Our seasonal deals will be available during the next Black Friday and Cyber Monday period,” without naming a day or time. Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, according to TechRadar’s 2026 VPN deals roundup; that calendar date does not establish when Proton will launch its offer.

VPNAlert reported on October 2, 2026 that Proton had not announced its 2026 Black Friday deal. TechRadar likewise reported on October 1 that explicit 2026 VPN deals had not yet been released. Those are dated observations, not a prediction of when an announcement will arrive.

Is Proton VPN offering up to 70% off for Black Friday?

Not as a confirmed 2026 Black Friday deal. Proton’s general deals page uses the headline “Get up to 70% off Proton VPN,” but its current price and discount fields render as placeholders. The headline is therefore not enough to verify a live price or establish that the same discount applies to the 2026 seasonal sale.

Separately, VPNAlert’s October 2 report said it observed a two-year VPN Plus offer at $2.99 per month, $71.76 for 24 months, and described it as 70% off. Treat that as dated independent reporting, not a guaranteed Proton checkout price. The captured Proton page does not show usable deal figures; check the price and terms displayed for your own account and region before paying.

What has Proton VPN charged in previous Black Friday sales?

Past offers can provide context, but they do not predict the 2026 promotion. The following figures are reported by VPNAlert; TechRadar also reported the 2025 figures.

Sale year Reported VPN Plus offer Source and qualification
2024 $2.99/month; $71.76 for 24 months; reported as 70% off VPNAlert’s 2026 report on the 2024 offer
2025 $2.49/month; $59.76 for 24 months; reported as 75% off VPNAlert’s 2026 report and TechRadar’s 2026 roundup on the 2025 offer
2026 No confirmed seasonal price or discount As of October 3, 2026; Proton’s deal widgets showed placeholders

The monthly figures are equivalents for a 24-month subscription, not the total paid for just one month. A lower historical price in 2025 is not evidence that Proton will repeat that discount.

Should you buy now or wait for the sale?

Base the decision on the checkout total and your need for service, rather than the “up to” percentage. VPNAlert’s October 2 report gives one dated point of comparison—the reported $71.76 total for two years—but Proton’s live checkout is the place to verify what you would actually pay.

  • Compare the upfront term cost. Multiply the monthly-equivalent price by the full subscription term and confirm the amount charged today.
  • Check renewal terms. The reviewed official deal page does not establish a definitive renewal price. Look at the renewal interval and amount shown at checkout or in the plan terms.
  • Confirm eligibility and region. The available sources do not establish 2026 account eligibility or a universal regional price. Verify that the offer applies to your account and currency.
  • Weigh the cost of waiting. If you need a VPN now, compare a verified current offer with the inconvenience or risk of waiting for an unannounced promotion. If you can wait, revisit Proton’s official sale page closer to November 27.

What else should you check before subscribing?

Proton’s Black Friday page describes VPN Plus as allowing up to 10 simultaneous device connections and advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee for paid plans. Its FAQ says subscribers can cancel and request a refund within 30 days. Confirm the terms that apply to your payment method and jurisdiction at purchase, rather than assuming every checkout follows identical conditions.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
