Short answer: Aecooly’s Cold Air models are handheld misting fans, not miniature air conditioners. Their strongest promise is directed airflow plus a short burst of water mist that can feel cooling on skin as it evaporates. Aecooly claims its Ultra models can lower temperature by up to 18°F in 10 seconds, but that figure has not been independently validated here and should not be read as a room-temperature drop.
What the Aecooly Cold Air models do
The Cold Air family has three handheld models: Cold Air Ultra, Cold Air Ultra B and Cold Air. Each combines a fan with a water-mist function. Aecooly describes air intake, mist delivery by an air pump, airflow carrying the mist, and evaporation as the cooling sequence. The practical effect depends on mist reaching your skin and evaporating; it is not the same as refrigerating a room.
That distinction matters most in humid weather. Evaporation is less effective when the air is already humid, while dry heat and moving air can make mist-assisted cooling more noticeable. The device is directional, so it is most relevant when held near the person who wants relief—not as a way to cool a whole room.
How strong is the cooling?
Aecooly’s product comparison states “up to 18°F / 10s” for Cold Air Ultra and Ultra B, and “up to 14.4°F / 10s” for Cold Air. These are manufacturer claims, not independently reproduced results. The available product information does not establish the testing conditions, such as humidity, measurement location or ambient temperature, so the figures cannot reliably predict what a particular user will feel.

A sensation of cooler skin is plausible from airflow and evaporation, but it does not demonstrate that the surrounding air—or a room—has cooled by the stated amount. Treat the figures as claims about the company’s cooling system, not a guaranteed temperature drop.
Cold Air vs. Ultra vs. Ultra B
Aecooly positions Ultra as its highest-performance model, Ultra B as a balance option and Cold Air as the more portable model. The table reflects specifications and sale prices published on Aecooly product pages and its series comparison in 2026; prices and availability can change.

All listed specifications and prices above are those published by Aecooly in 2026. The company lists USB-C charging for the series and a bottom pull-ring/twist-lock refill design. Its stated fan runtimes are maximums at low speed; the pages do not establish equivalent runtime at higher settings or while misting.
Cold Air Ultra: most control and airflow
Ultra combines the 25m/s published wind speed with 100 fan levels and a color touch display. It has the largest stated battery of the three, but its claimed low-speed runtime is shorter than Cold Air’s. At $79.99 on Aecooly’s 2026 product page, it is the priciest option in this comparison.

Cold Air Ultra B: the middle-priced high-airflow option
Ultra B shares Ultra’s published wind speed, 100-level control, color display and dimensions, but has a 6,000mAh battery and a stated low-speed runtime of up to 8.5 hours. Its listed weight is 349g, slightly more than Ultra. At Aecooly’s 2026 sale price of $59.99, it costs less than Ultra while retaining the same headline airflow specification.
Cold Air: lighter, quieter and longer-running on paper
Cold Air is the lightest at 285g and has the longest stated low-speed runtime, up to 20 hours. Its published 9.5m/s wind speed and five settings are more modest than the Ultra models’ specifications, and it does not have their interactive color touchscreen. Aecooly lists low-speed noise up to 51dB and a $34.99 sale price in 2026.

What the mist runtime means in daily use
Aecooly lists up to eight minutes of mist per refill for all three models. That is a short cooling burst, not an all-day mist supply. If you plan to use the mist function often, expect to refill periodically using the bottom refill system. The Ultra B FAQ says mist can be switched off, so the fan can also be used without spraying water.
For commuting, queues, festivals, sports fields, camping and travel—the kinds of settings Aecooly markets the series for—the key question is whether you want close-range mist-assisted relief and are willing to manage refills. If you need continuous cooling or want to change the temperature of a room, these handheld fans are the wrong category of device.

Which model should you choose?
- Choose Cold Air Ultra if you want the highest listed fan control and airflow in the family and are comfortable paying the highest published price.
- Choose Cold Air Ultra B if you want the Ultra models’ published 25m/s airflow and 100-level control at a lower listed price, without choosing primarily for the longest battery runtime.
- Choose Cold Air if lower weight, lower published low-speed noise, the lowest listed price or the longest stated low-speed runtime matters more than maximum airflow and fine-grained controls.
- Skip all three if your goal is air conditioning, hours of continuous mist without refilling, or a verified temperature-drop performance figure.
Verdict
The Aecooly Cold Air family is best understood as portable airflow with optional, short-duration mist—not as a pocket air conditioner. Ultra and Ultra B publish substantially higher airflow and more control than Cold Air, while the basic model is lighter, less expensive and rated for longer low-speed operation. The cooling sensation may be useful at close range, but Aecooly’s headline temperature-drop claims remain unverified, and the eight-minute mist allowance per refill is a meaningful practical limit.
