The “$100” headline refers to a reservation campaign promoted ahead of Samsung’s January 2026 CES event: eligible customers could receive up to $100 in Samsung Credit after signing up and later preordering a qualifying product. It was not a guaranteed $100 discount on every TV, and a reservation was not a preorder.
What Samsung’s offer actually was
Samsung promoted a reservation campaign for its forthcoming 2026 lineup ahead of CES. The company’s CES 2026 First Look announcement scheduled the event for January 4, 2026, at 7 p.m. PST, and said Samsung would present its Device eXperience direction, including Visual Display. The event announcement did not set an August preorder date.
Samsung’s U.S. offer described up to $100 in Samsung Credit for a qualifying 2026 TV, monitor, audio product, or home appliance. The customer had to register during the offer period, then preorder and purchase an eligible product. The credit was not necessarily $100, and it should not be treated as cash or as a universal reduction in the TV’s checkout price. Samsung’s TV and home-theater offer terms govern eligibility and use.
Reservation, preorder, and purchase are different steps
A reservation is an expression of interest, not a completed sale. Samsung’s reservation guidance describes completing a form on Samsung.com or in the Shop Samsung App. Samsung may then send a notification when preorders open, and a reservation may qualify the customer for a promotion. There is no reservation charge or obligation to buy, but reserving does not guarantee that a model will be available.

- Register: Complete the reservation form during the promotion’s active period.
- Wait for preorder: Watch for Samsung’s email or app notification; the registration itself does not place an order.
- Check eligibility: Confirm that the exact TV model and size qualify under the offer terms.
- Preorder and purchase: Use the same email address used to register so Samsung can match the offer.
- Verify before paying: Check the cart and promotion details rather than assuming a credit will be added later.
Conditions that affect the credit
- Amount: “Up to $100” is a maximum, not a promise of a flat $100 for every eligible buyer or model.
- Email match: Samsung said the same email address must be used for registration and preorder for automatic application.
- One-time use: The cited offer was limited to one use per qualifying purchase and was non-transferable. Unused credit may not carry over.
- Credit timing: Samsung’s general preorder-credit guidance says an e-certificate or Samsung Credit may arrive 35 days after the last product in an order is delivered. That is general guidance, not a confirmed delivery schedule for this specific campaign; promotion-specific terms can differ.
- Returns and cancellations: Canceling or returning a qualifying order can void the credit under Samsung’s general guidance.
- Other discounts: Do not assume the credit combines with trade-in offers, Samsung Rewards, financing, education, military, employee, or other discounts. Check the terms for each offer.
- Eligible use and location: Confirm whether the credit applies to the TV or only other eligible purchases, and check the U.S. offer’s geographic restrictions. The cited terms concern Samsung.com or the Shop Samsung App and may exclude some locations.
Is signing up worthwhile?
For a buyer already set on a Samsung TV, a free reservation can be useful if early notification or a conditional credit is worthwhile. It does not commit the buyer to purchase. The credit’s value depends on its amount, eligible uses, and whether the final price is competitive.
- Consider registering when the form is active, you want early notice, and the offer terms clearly explain how to qualify.
- Wait before buying if the TV has not yet been independently reviewed, you want to compare retailers, or the promotion’s restrictions are unclear.
- Compare cash prices when a retailer’s immediate discount could be more valuable than Samsung Credit. Compare the full cost, delivery date, return policy, warranty, and included accessories rather than judging by the headline reward.
What buyers can get now
As of August 18, 2026, Samsung’s U.S. pages show 2026 TVs available to order and ongoing promotions, not a newly announced preorder window for the following week. The Samsung promotions page lists current benefits, including offers related to The Frame and Samsung Art Store. These should be assessed under their own terms, separately from the former reservation credit.

Samsung’s 2026 The Frame Pro product pages also display current prices and reductions from listed former prices. For example, the 55-inch and 65-inch listings showed $100 reductions. A product-page sale is a separate price offer; it does not show that the older signup credit is still active.

Check these details before placing an order
- Match the exact model number and screen size to the promotion’s eligible products.
- Confirm the credit is visible in the cart before submitting payment; if it is missing, pause and contact Samsung rather than assuming it will be applied later.
- Use the registration email address and the corresponding Samsung account.
- Read the terms for credit use, combinations with other offers, cancellation, returns, delivery, and the applicable return window.
- Check whether taxes are calculated before or after the promotional credit, as specified at checkout.
- Compare Samsung’s direct price with authorized retailers’ cash prices and delivery and return terms; current retailer prices and availability can change.
