Yes. Pokémon Center customers have reported being blocked by the site’s security layer, usually with “Access Denied — Error 15” and “This request was blocked by our security service.” That does not automatically mean Pokémon Center permanently banned your account or IP address.
The failure can be caused by a VPN, regional-site mismatch, browser or extension problems, unusually heavy traffic, or a false positive from the site’s security system. Mozilla also documented a case where a Pokémon Center product page failed in Firefox but loaded in Chrome, showing that the problem is not necessarily a site-wide ban.
What “Access Denied — Error 15” means
Error 15 means that a security service rejected the request before the page could load normally. Pokémon Center has not published the exact signals that trigger this response, so the message alone cannot prove that you used a bot, exceeded a purchase limit, or were deliberately banned.
Customer reports describe blocks during product launches, after rapid refreshing, and while browsing or checking out. Those reports indicate that false positives happen, but they do not establish a universal IP-ban policy. A Mozilla Bugzilla report provides another example: a Pokémon Center product URL was blocked in Firefox 147.0 on Windows 10 but worked in Chrome. The main site still worked in that test.

First, distinguish a block from a virtual queue
Pokémon Center may place shoppers in a virtual queue when demand is high. A queue is traffic control, not necessarily an account or IP block.

For a queue, Pokémon Center says not to refresh, open multiple tabs, use alternate links, or try to bypass the waiting room. A long wait does not necessarily mean a product is launching, and reaching the store does not guarantee that the item will remain in stock. See Pokémon Center’s virtual queue guidance.
How to recover from a Pokémon Center block
- Stop refreshing the error page. Repeated requests can make a temporary security decision last longer and will not force the page to load.
- Close extra Pokémon Center tabs. Keep only one normal browsing session. This is especially important during a queue or product release.
- Turn off your VPN or proxy. Also disable privacy-routing services that send traffic through another location. Pokémon Center specifically recommends turning off VPNs when troubleshooting access problems.
- Temporarily disable page-altering extensions. Ad blockers, script blockers, anti-tracking tools, and shopping automation extensions can interfere with security checks. The extension advice is a practical troubleshooting step, not a published Pokémon Center claim that a particular extension causes Error 15.
- Clear Pokémon Center’s cookies and cached site data. In Chrome, open
chrome://settings/content/all, search forpokemoncenter.com, remove the matching site data, then reopen the browser. In Firefox, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data, search for Pokémon Center, remove the result, and select Save Changes. - Try another browser. If the page fails in Firefox, test Chrome or another current browser. The Mozilla report demonstrates that a product-page failure can be browser-specific.
- Try another device. A phone, tablet, or second computer can help show whether the issue belongs to the original browser profile or device.
- Change networks once. Test mobile data instead of Wi-Fi, or Wi-Fi instead of mobile data. Pokémon Center lists a different internet connection as an official troubleshooting step. Do not repeatedly switch networks as a way to evade a queue or security check.
- Use the correct regional site. Do not use a VPN to appear to be in another country. Open the storefront that matches your location and shipping eligibility.

To change the storefront, scroll to the bottom of a Pokémon Center page, select the country shown at the bottom left, and choose a region under Select your region. A VPN or location mismatch can complicate access, although Pokémon Center does not say that every Access Denied message is caused by a VPN or an IP ban.

What to do during a high-traffic launch
Launch-day behavior can make a temporary problem worse. Use one browser window, one queue tab, and one stable connection. Avoid repeatedly reloading product pages, opening several product URLs, or switching between regional storefronts. If you enter a virtual queue, leave the page open and wait for the site to redirect you automatically.
Do not assume that a queue position, CAPTCHA, or checkout failure means your account has been banned. These are separate failure states, and Pokémon Center’s public help pages do not provide a definitive list of the security service’s detection rules.

If the error continues after trying the steps above, contact Pokémon Center through its support site. The current support page offers chat through the icon in the bottom-right corner and an email ticket. Pokémon Center says it does not currently offer phone support.
Include useful details such as:
- the exact error text, including Error 15 if shown;
- the product URL or page that failed;
- your regional storefront;
- your browser and device;
- whether you were using a VPN, proxy, or extensions;
- the approximate time of the failure; and
- whether another browser or network worked.
Set expectations appropriately. Pokémon Center warns that support may be unable to resolve individual access errors during major traffic events, and its virtual-queue guidance says support agents cannot assist with queue issues. Support can document the problem, but it may not be able to remove a live security decision immediately.

What has not been confirmed
- Pokémon Center has not published a standard IP-ban policy for ordinary shoppers.
- It has not published the precise conditions that trigger Error 15.
- An Access Denied page does not prove a permanent account ban.
- The message does not, by itself, prove bot activity or a purchase-limit violation.
- A queue, CAPTCHA, checkout error, and security block are not interchangeable messages.
FAQ
Can Pokémon Center permanently ban your IP address?
A permanent IP ban is not established merely by seeing Error 15. Pokémon Center has not published a standard IP-ban policy for ordinary shoppers or the exact rules used by its security service.
Why does Pokémon Center work in Chrome but not Firefox?
The browser, its stored cookies, extensions, or the particular page request may be triggering a false positive. Mozilla documented a Pokémon Center product page that was blocked in Firefox 147.0 but loaded in Chrome.
Does a Pokémon Center virtual queue mean I am blocked?
No. A virtual queue is used to control traffic during busy periods. Keep one queue window open, do not refresh it, and wait for automatic redirection.
What is the fastest way to fix Pokémon Center Error 15?
Stop refreshing, close duplicate tabs, disable any VPN or proxy, temporarily turn off page-filtering extensions, clear Pokémon Center site data, and retry the correct regional site in another browser or on another network.

People do get blocked by Pokémon Center’s security layer, but Access Denied — Error 15 is not proof of a permanent account or IP ban. Stop refreshing, remove VPN and browser-related variables, use the correct regional storefront, and test one clean browser session on another network. If the problem remains, use Pokémon Center’s chat or email support, while recognizing that support may not be able to fix access problems during heavy-traffic events.
