The right fit depends on whether you need coupon attribution, product-specific commissions, customer referrals, an affiliate portal, or automated payouts. This shortlist compares documented capabilities rather than hands-on test results; confirm current pricing, paid-tier limits, and compatibility with your store before choosing.
How to choose a WooCommerce affiliate plugin
Start with the way your program will work day to day, not a star rating or a long feature list. WooCommerce describes referral tracking as deciding which affiliate receives credit for an order and how long after a click that credit lasts. Review the plugin’s attribution rules alongside your own coupon use and customer journey; a tracking feature alone does not establish how conflicting referral signals are resolved.

- Attribution: Check whether the plugin tracks referral links, coupons, or both, and whether you can configure the cookie or click-credit window.
- Commissions: Match the documented controls to your plan: flat or percentage rates, product-specific rates, multi-tier commissions, or customer-and-referrer rewards. Do not assume every plugin offers every model.
- Recruiting and affiliate experience: Look for application review, a dashboard, link generation, and the earnings information affiliates need.
- Payouts: Establish whether the plugin supports manual payments, withdrawal requests, or an automated route—and whether automation requires a separate extension or account.
- Operations and cost: Check reports, migration guidance, compatibility with your WooCommerce setup, and the current price and feature limits for the exact plan you would buy.

Which option fits your program?
For customer referrals as well as affiliates
Affiliate and Referral Program for WooCommerce is the clearest fit among these options when you want a customer refer-a-friend program alongside an affiliate program. Its documentation describes two-sided customer rewards and optional multi-tier affiliate commissions, as well as links, coupons, QR codes, reporting, wallets, and PayPal or Stripe routes. Check the rules for each reward and payout method against your intended program before launch.
#1 Best Overall
For centralised affiliate administration
Affiliate for WooCommerce documents administration and performance information in one place, plus commissions, payouts, a leaderboard, setup instructions, and migration guidance. That makes it worth evaluating if your priority is managing the program within a WooCommerce-oriented workflow. Documentation does not establish that it is simpler or better than the other candidates for every store.
For coupon tracking or product-specific rates
AffiliateWP documents WooCommerce referral creation, coupon tracking, product-specific rates, and HPOS support. SliceWP’s listing also describes coupon codes and product-specific commission rates, while its documentation explains referral-link tracking and a configurable cookie duration. WC Affiliate by Codexpert documents coupon attribution and commission options. Compare the exact rules and paid-plan boundaries for the version you would use; the feature descriptions alone do not settle which handles your store’s attribution cases best.
Rank #2
For payout planning
Separate the ability to record or request a payout from the ability to automate one. The first plugin documents PayPal and Stripe routes; Affiliate for WooCommerce lists payouts; YITH describes automation through companion products; and Affiliate Program for WooCommerce documents withdrawal requests with PayPal or manual bank transfer depending on settings. Confirm account prerequisites, fees, payment timing, and whether the route is included in the plugin or requires another product; the cited feature descriptions do not establish those commercial terms.
Check attribution before announcing commission rules
Referral links and coupons can both participate in attribution, but their presence does not tell you which affiliate wins when signals conflict. WooCommerce’s attribution documentation explains the general question—who is credited and for how long after a click—but the specific implementation and configuration must be checked in the plugin you select. Test the scenarios that matter to your store, such as a customer clicking one affiliate link and later applying a different affiliate’s coupon, before publishing your terms.
SliceWP documents a 30-day default cookie duration that can be changed in settings. Treat that as SliceWP’s documented default, not a universal WooCommerce standard or a promise about another plugin. Confirm the active duration and any applicable tracking settings in your chosen installation.

The available product pages do not establish an apples-to-apples current price comparison or consistent free-versus-paid feature boundaries for all eight plugins. Pricing, renewal terms, site limits, support, and included payout options can change. Check each vendor’s current plan page and documentation, especially before relying on a feature described only in a directory listing.
Rank #4
WooCommerce documents HPOS support for AffiliateWP, but that should not be read as a compatibility guarantee for every extension, theme, or store configuration. Verify compatibility for your own stack. Likewise, no comparative study or measured conversion-uplift evidence is established here, and no hands-on tests underpin this shortlist. A WordPress.org rating is not a substitute for feature fit: the WC Affiliate directory listing represented in the 2026 search snapshot showed version 3.5 dated June 17, 2026 and a 4.6/5 rating, figures that can change and do not establish comparative quality.
Finally, similarly named plugins can be confused. In particular, verify that “Affiliate Program for WooCommerce” is the exact product, distribution source, and version you intend to use before installation.
