Every Wyoming LLC also needs a registered agent. The seven names below are candidates to compare—not an independently verified ranking—because the available price comparisons are published by providers and do not establish a neutral top seven.
What it costs to form and maintain a Wyoming LLC
The Wyoming Secretary of State’s online instructions list a $100 LLC articles of organization filing fee. Online card payments add 2.4% of the filing fee, with a $1 minimum. These are state charges, separate from any formation-service fee.

Wyoming requires every business entity to have a registered agent to accept service of process. As the Secretary of State puts it, “All business entities filed in Wyoming need a registered agent to accept service of process.” See the Wyoming Secretary of State’s company-creation guide.

An LLC must also file an annual report. The license tax is $60 or $0.0002 of assets located and employed in Wyoming, whichever is greater. The report is due on the first day of the month in which the LLC’s formation anniversary falls. This state tax is distinct from a provider’s optional charge to prepare or submit the report. Details appear in the Secretary of State’s annual-report information and business FAQ.
#1 Best Overall
These requirements describe Wyoming obligations; forming in Wyoming does not by itself determine whether an owner must register or meet other requirements in another state. The Secretary of State says it cannot provide legal, tax, or financial advice. Get advice specific to your situation when deciding where to form or how to comply.
Seven services to compare
The following providers appear in comparison material, but the available evidence does not support ranking them as the seven best. The published prices below are offers reported by provider-authored pages, not independently tested checkout totals. They may change, and package contents or promotions can affect the amount charged.

How to compare the real first-year and renewal costs
A headline formation price is not the total cost. For each provider, add the formation-service charge, the state filing fee and card fee, any required registered-agent charge, and any add-ons you choose. Then calculate the renewal cost separately: a low introductory price can be followed by a recurring registered-agent charge.

- Keep track of everything from attendance to test scores
- Spiral bound
- Measures 8-1/2" x 11"
- Separate state and provider charges. Confirm whether the state fee is included or added at checkout; the quoted provider offers above generally say “plus state fees” where stated.
- Check the registered-agent renewal. Record the first-year price, renewal price, billing interval, and cancellation terms. A free first year is not a free ongoing service.
- Inspect filing and annual-report assistance. Find out exactly which filings the package prepares or submits, whether annual-report help costs extra, and whether that is preparation only or submission to the state.
- Review documents and add-ons. Check what organizational documents are included and whether items such as an operating agreement or expedited handling are optional paid extras.
- Compare support and exit terms. Look for stated support channels and hours, refund eligibility, guarantee conditions, and the point at which a filing makes a refund unavailable.
The cited comparison pages do not establish consistent, independently verified details for all these features across all seven providers. Confirm each item in the provider’s current package description and checkout terms rather than assuming that similarly priced formation offers include the same services.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Filing directly with Wyoming versus hiring a service
Direct filing avoids a formation provider’s service fee, but it does not remove the state filing charge, online card fee, registered-agent requirement, or annual report tax. A service may be worthwhile if you want help preparing or submitting paperwork; it does not replace your responsibility to understand applicable requirements or make a provider’s registered-agent service legal advice.
Rank #4
If you choose a provider, compare its full first-year cost and renewal price against direct filing plus the registered-agent arrangement you would use. If you file yourself, use the Secretary of State’s official online registration instructions and verify current fees and filing details there.
