If you want to manage a Discord bot or server from a browser on Linux, start by matching the tool to your setup: ArkenBot and Sylo describe their own dashboards and bots; Red-Web-Dashboard is specifically for Red-DiscordBot; Hex offers a hosted dashboard; and Specter describes an OAuth2-based configuration dashboard. iHorizon is a Linux-hostable bot, but its reviewed documentation does not establish that it has a web dashboard.
These are not six interchangeable, independently tested winners. The options below are selected for their documented fit with browser-based Discord administration or, in iHorizon’s case, Linux bot hosting. A Discord chat client is a different category: this comparison is about bot and server management, not chatting in Discord through a browser.

Which option fits your setup?
| Tool | What the documentation describes | Hosting and requirements noted | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| ArkenBot | Community bot with a web dashboard and Discord login | Linux self-hosting; database configuration, PM2, and Nginx are covered in its deployment guide | Someone who wants to run a bot and manage it in a browser |
| Sylo | Open-source bot modules managed through a web dashboard | Hosted or self-hosted; the project describes a one-container setup using a SQLite file | Someone who wants a bot dashboard with a documented self-hosting option |
| Hex | Browser dashboard for server configuration, accessed with Discord login | The reviewed dashboard documentation describes the hosted service | Server staff who want browser-based controls without setting up a bot stack |
| Red-Web-Dashboard | Web interface for a Red-DiscordBot instance, connected through RPC | Requires Red-DiscordBot with RPC enabled; Linux guidance covers Caddy or Apache as a reverse proxy | People already running Red-DiscordBot |
| Specter | Go community and administration bot with OAuth2 configuration dashboard and web music player | PostgreSQL for state; an optional Lavalink node for audio | Someone evaluating a bot whose project documentation describes both administration and music features |
| iHorizon | Free, open-source Discord bot; a web dashboard is not established by the reviewed page | Self-hosting on a personal machine or VPS; its provisioning script supports Ubuntu/Debian-based Linux | Someone seeking a Linux-hostable bot rather than a verified browser dashboard |
The projects’ pages describe different feature sets and deployment models, so this is a feature-fit comparison, not an objective ranking. Check each project’s current licensing, release status, and installation instructions before deploying it.
Five options with documented browser dashboards
1. ArkenBot: self-host a bot with a dashboard
ArkenBot’s documentation describes a community-management bot with moderation, leveling, music, and a web dashboard. Administrators sign in to the dashboard through Discord. The project says it can run on Linux, and its self-hosting guidance covers Discord application setup, database configuration, and production deployment using PM2 and Nginx.

- 15 Customizable LCD Keys: instantly control your apps, tools and platforms.
- One-Touch Operation: trigger single or multiple actions, launch social posts, adjust audio, mute mic, turn on lights, and much more.
- Visual Feedback: know that your command has been executed.
- Powerful Plugins: Elgato 4KCU, OBS, Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Discord, Spotify, Philips Hue, and many more.
- Hotkey Actions: streamline your film editing, music production, photography workflow, etc.
This is a practical candidate if you want to operate the bot yourself and configure it in a browser. Follow the project’s current deployment guide for the exact prerequisites and configuration; the documentation describes a database requirement but the cited overview does not specify a single database choice.
2. Sylo: hosted or self-hosted bot modules
Sylo’s project site describes an open-source project under the MIT license, with hosted and self-hosted options and a web dashboard for bot modules. For self-hosting, it describes a one-container setup using a SQLite file, which makes its documented architecture distinct from options that call for a separate database service.

The site labels Fluxer support as beta and self-host-only. That caveat applies to Fluxer support, not to the project’s Discord dashboard. Features and availability can change, so confirm the current project page before choosing it.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3. Hex: hosted dashboard with permission-aware controls
Hex’s dashboard documentation describes a browser interface for configuring a server. Users log in with Discord; the documentation says no separate Hex account is needed. Available controls depend on the user’s Discord permissions, so staff can manage permitted areas without being granted broader server permissions solely to use the dashboard.

- 18 Programmable Keys Macro Keypad: This stream controller deck comes with 18 customizable macro keys (15 LCD visual keys + 3 physical buttons). Users may program single actions or multi-step sequences for daily operation. The keys support in-game combos, app launch and media playback control for multiple usage scenarios. Each LCD key accepts JPG, PNG and GIF images and animations to mark separate functions
- Single Tap Control: This USB macro keyboard pad supports single tap commands for quick operation. Users can trigger pre-set macros, input text, open files and web pages, adjust media playback, or switch OBS scenes with one tap. The straightforward layout fits gaming, live streaming and professional office task setup
- One Tap Multi-Shortcut: This macro controller pad streaming deck supports multi-shortcut macro programming for gamers and content creators. Custom shortcuts simplify game combo inputs, video editing, music production and photography workflows. The Operation Follow function runs multiple macro steps in custom order or simultaneous execution for adjustable task control

- Wide System Compatibility: This VSDinside macro control board works with Windows 11 and newer, macOS 11.0 and newer systems. Connect via USB-C cable for immediate use. It is compatible with mainstream software including OBS, Streamlabs, YouTube, Twitter, Discord, Excel, Word and Photoshop for daily production work. Native Linux system plug-and-play support is not available, while SDK development documents are provided for custom secondary development
The reviewed documentation establishes a hosted service, not Linux self-hosting. Choose it when the goal is browser-based server management, rather than operating the dashboard and bot infrastructure on your own Linux machine.
4. Red-Web-Dashboard: for an existing Red-DiscordBot
Red-Web-Dashboard’s documentation describes a web server that connects to a Red-DiscordBot instance through RPC. The bot must be started with RPC enabled, and the dashboard has its own web-server setup. This is a companion interface for Red-DiscordBot, not a general dashboard for any Discord bot.

- Tactile Control, Visual Feedback: LCD keys, touch strip, and dials for audio, video, lighting, and more. Know that your command has been executed.
- Fully Customizable: Use as an audio mixer, studio controller, production console, etc.
- Multi Actions, Smart Profiles: trigger multiple actions at once or sequentially, automatically switch between interface configurations for different apps.
- Powerful Plugins: Elgato Wave Link, Camera Hub, Control Center, OBS, Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Discord, Spotify, Philips Hue, and many more
- Stream Deck App and Store: drag and drop setup, download plugins, icons, thousands of royalty-free tracks, SFX, and more. Regular updates and new plugins frequently added.
For Linux deployments, the guide covers Caddy or Apache as reverse proxies. It advises binding the dashboard application to localhost and proxying requests, rather than exposing its application port directly. Follow that network boundary when configuring access.
5. Specter: OAuth2 dashboard with additional services
The Specter repository describes a Go-based Discord community and administration bot, an OAuth2-authenticated configuration dashboard, and a web music player. Its architecture documentation identifies PostgreSQL for state and an optional Lavalink node for audio.

According to the project, configuration pages require the Discord “Manage Server” permission; the public player has separate rules. Treat these as project-described features, not independently verified behavior. Before investing in deployment, inspect the repository’s current activity, license, releases, and setup instructions.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.iHorizon: Linux bot hosting, not a verified dashboard
iHorizon’s self-hosting page describes a free, open-source Discord bot that can run on a personal machine or VPS. Its provisioning script is limited to Ubuntu- and Debian-based Linux distributions; the documentation provides manual installation for other environments.
The cited page does not establish that iHorizon includes a browser dashboard. Consider it only if Linux-hostable bot software is useful to you and you verify dashboard support in the project’s current documentation before relying on it for browser-based administration.
Choose by deployment and access needs
- Want to run the bot and dashboard yourself? Compare ArkenBot and Sylo’s documented self-hosting paths. ArkenBot’s guide covers database configuration and production deployment with PM2 and Nginx; Sylo describes a one-container setup with SQLite.
- Already use Red-DiscordBot? Red-Web-Dashboard is the directly relevant option, provided you enable RPC and configure the web server and reverse proxy.
- Prefer a hosted dashboard? Hex’s reviewed documentation describes a hosted service and Discord-permission-based controls; it does not establish Linux self-hosting.
- Need a music feature? ArkenBot lists music among its bot features. Specter describes a web music player and an optional Lavalink dependency for audio. Confirm current feature and setup details in either project’s documentation.
- Looking for a Linux app to chat in Discord? These dashboard projects are the wrong category. The NixOS Wiki’s Discord page discusses Discord’s web interface and Linux client references; that is a separate client comparison.
What “best” can—and cannot—mean here
The available project documentation supports comparing purpose, hosting model, dependencies, and access controls. It does not establish a shared benchmark or independently tested ranking for setup difficulty, reliability, speed, or privacy. Choose based on the software you already run, whether you want hosted or self-managed infrastructure, and which controls your staff need.
