Affordable keychain gadgets span practical tools and playful novelties, but the price evidence here is limited to isolated listings rather than a reliable market-wide threshold. The most useful options are compact USB drives; a mini camera or voice recorder can make sense if its limitations and compatibility suit your needs.

1. Mini keychain digital camera
A miniature camera can be a fun way to capture casual snapshots or short videos without carrying a phone. Kodak’s Charmera product page describes photo and video capture, but says the product is not available in all countries. The page identifies RETO Production Ltd. as the manufacturer and seller, using Kodak’s trademark, logo, and trade dress under license: Kodak Charmera product page.

Do not assume a tiny camera will match a phone’s image quality or that a memory card is included. Check the package contents, file-transfer method, and local availability before buying. A Walmart marketplace listing for a different mini keychain camera showed $13.69 when crawled; that was one seller’s listing, not a current price guarantee or a benchmark for the category: Walmart marketplace listing.

2. USB flash drive with a key loop
For everyday utility, a tiny flash drive is one of the more straightforward keychain gadgets. Kingston’s DataTraveler Micro has a built-in key loop and measures 24.95 × 12.2 × 4.5 mm. Check how recording starts and stops, how files are transferred, and whether the device records in a format you can play. Recording laws and consent requirements vary by location and situation; get appropriate consent and follow applicable rules.

How to choose one for your keys
