The 18-inch wrench suits general pipe work where maneuverability matters; the 24-inch model offers a longer handle for larger work. The impact wrench is a cordless fastening tool, the oscillating multi-tool is a compact cutting and detail-work option, and the corded mud mixer is intended for mixing material. Their star averages should not be treated as a head-to-head ranking across different jobs.

The available product and policy evidence supports five rated examples, not twelve independently verified model-and-warranty combinations. Naming seven more as qualifying tools would require confirming each model’s current retailer rating and its exact RIDGID coverage. RIDGID also lists numerous concrete, masonry, and tile hand-tool families under a separate Limited Lifetime Warranty, but that family-level list does not establish ratings for specific models.

What RIDGID means by “lifetime”
Lifetime Service Agreement for eligible power tools
RIDGID’s U.S. LSA applies to eligible handheld power tools, select stationary tools, batteries, pneumatic tools, compressors, and outdoor power equipment. RIDGID says, “The original purchaser of an eligible product may elect to register for a free Lifetime Service Agreement.” Registration must be completed within 90 days, with proof of purchase, and RIDGID identifies The Home Depot as the qualifying purchase channel. Coverage is personal to the original purchaser; it is not an automatic lifetime benefit for every RIDGID-branded product or every buyer.
The LSA excludes misuse, abuse, neglect, unauthorized repair or modification, and consumable accessories such as blades, bits, and sandpaper. Check the product’s eligibility and full terms before relying on the agreement.

Full Lifetime Warranty for eligible hand tools
RIDGID’s Full Lifetime Warranty covers RIDGID-branded tools against defects in workmanship and materials for the life of the tool. Its policy states, “This warranty lasts for the lifetime of the RIDGID® tool.” It excludes failures caused by misuse, abuse, and normal wear and tear, and excludes licensed goods. RIDGID directs customers to return pipe wrenches and other hand tools to the place of purchase. General-purpose hand tools cited by RIDGID include saws, tape measures, anvils, and levels.
Limited Lifetime Warranty for specified concrete and tile tools
A separate Limited Lifetime Warranty applies to enumerated concrete, masonry, and tile hand-tool families, including trowels, floats, groovers, edgers, lippage systems, spacers, scrapers, nippers, hole saws, tile files, grout saw blades, scoring knives, miter trim cutters and replacement blades, knee pads, brushes, gauges, mallets, suction cups, and tapes. It covers defects in materials and workmanship during the usable life of the original product, subject to the policy’s conditions. This is not interchangeable with either the LSA or the Full Lifetime Warranty.

How to check coverage before buying
- Find the exact model number. Similar-looking tools or kits can differ in eligibility and included components.
- Check RIDGID’s warranty page for that product family. Confirm whether it falls under the LSA, Full Lifetime Warranty, Limited Lifetime Warranty, or another policy.
- For a power tool, confirm the U.S. purchase-channel and registration terms. The LSA terms specify an eligible purchase at The Home Depot, original-purchaser registration within 90 days, and proof of purchase.
- Keep the receipt and registration confirmation. These documents matter when the LSA requires proof of purchase.
- Read exclusions and service instructions. Wear, consumables, misuse, and repair history can affect coverage depending on the policy; hand-tool service may require returning the tool to the place of purchase.
Does the lifetime coverage mean the tool cannot wear out?
No. Warranty and service terms address eligible defects and service, not a promise that a tool will never wear out. RIDGID’s Full Lifetime Warranty excludes normal wear and tear, while the LSA excludes listed causes such as misuse and neglect. Customer ratings indicate reported buyer satisfaction on Home Depot, not proof of product lifespan.
