The best Squarespace website example for you depends on what your visitors need to do: shop, book, read, donate, or see your work. This curated set of 44 examples is organized by site purpose, with a design detail to study and an idea you can adapt. The selection is editorial, not an official ranking or a claim about business results.
Squarespace’s Made with Squarespace showcase presents websites across portfolios, online stores, services, local businesses, nonprofits, blogs, restaurants, and memberships. The examples below are grouped by the job a site needs to do, rather than ranked from best to worst. Use them to compare navigation, content structure, visual choices, and the next step each site offers.

The showcase is a useful starting point, but it is not independent proof of a site’s performance. Individual websites and platform attribution can change. Check each live site before relying on a particular feature or treating it as a current Squarespace example.
Portfolios and personal brands
Portfolio sites need to make the work easy to find and give visitors a clear path to learn about or contact the creator. Look at how each example uses imagery and page hierarchy to frame its work.

Editorial, blogs, and memberships
Readers need to find useful content; members need to understand what joining provides. These examples show how a site can be organized around ongoing material rather than a single transaction.
Breathpod
Purpose: Blog and memberships. Study: The combination of open content and a membership offer. Adapt: Make the distinction between freely available material and member content understandable before asking visitors to join.
Nonprofits and community organizations
A nonprofit site may need to explain its work, help people participate, and make support options visible. Keep mission information and practical actions easy to navigate.
Gather
Purpose: Nonprofit. Study: A site structured around an organization’s purpose. Adapt: Pair a concise explanation of the mission with clear routes for the kinds of participation the organization offers.
Restaurants and hospitality
Restaurant and hospitality sites often have to serve visitors who want inspiration as well as those seeking practical details. Look for a balance between atmosphere and useful information.
Best Value
Several examples above also carry restaurant or hospitality tags: Little Ripper and The Garret Group are tagged as restaurants, while Hôtel Weekend is tagged as an online store and portfolio. Their multiple categories are a reminder to judge a site by the visitor task you care about, not by a single label.

The official showcase includes the names above, but its current category listings do not establish enough detail to responsibly describe 29 additional individual sites here. A third-party 2026 roundup by Rasmus Myhrberg offers further discovery leads, including MightyMoe Kids, Insaan Group, and Arnaud Chabot; its descriptions are that author’s judgments, and some effects are attributed to Spark Plugin customizations rather than necessarily to native Squarespace features. Check the live sites and platform attribution before drawing conclusions from those examples.
How to choose the right Squarespace website inspiration
- Start with the visitor’s task. Decide whether your site should help people shop, book, inquire, read, join, donate, or view a portfolio.
- Compare like with like. A portfolio and a membership site solve different problems; use examples in the same category to assess hierarchy and content patterns.
- Look past the visual surface. Notice navigation, page order, calls to action, and whether the main offer is apparent without exploring every page.
- Borrow a structure, not an identity. Adapt a useful gallery, product grid, service page, or editorial feed to your content and audience rather than copying another site’s branding.
- Check the current site and platform details. Live sites can change. A showcase listing means Squarespace presents a site as an example; it does not establish performance or prove every visible effect is native to the platform.
Turn a template example into a site that fits
Squarespace’s template guide, updated March 13, 2026, explains that template demos use sample content to illustrate layouts. Squarespace advises focusing on the layout rather than the demo copy or imagery, and says sites can be customized with page layouts, colors, fonts, sections, and section-level styles. Treat a demo as a structural reference, then replace its sample material with content suited to your own audience and goal.
For more focused discovery, Squarespace’s website-examples blog index lists roundups organized by areas such as health and wellness, sports and fitness, professional services, home services, beauty, and creative services. Searching by purpose or industry can be more useful than looking only for a visual style.
