30 Therapist Website Examples: What They Show About Clear, Client-Friendly Design

These 30 therapist website examples show how practices communicate specialties, service areas, availability, fees, insurance, and the next step—without treating design as proof of clinical quality or conversion results.

The strongest therapist website examples make it easy to answer practical questions: who the practice serves, where it works, whether it is accepting clients, what sessions cost, how insurance is handled, and what to do next. The 30 sites below are useful as design and information examples—not as a verified ranking of therapists or proof of conversion results.

How to read this list

Colorlib’s September 10, 2026 article describes a manual review of 30 live websites for psychotherapists, counsellors, and psychologists. It excluded physical therapy, massage therapy, and nutritional therapy. The review looked for information such as services, credentials, availability, fees, insurance, and booking routes. Its findings describe that selected sample at the time of review; they do not establish profession-wide rates or measure clinical quality, accessibility, privacy, or conversion performance. What the 30-site audit found

These counts apply only to the 30 websites selected by Colorlib for its 2026 review. In its terminology, a “booking control” means a prompt or control on the first screen—not a confirmed appointment slot.

#1 Best Overall
Office Door Sign, Black Rotating Status Door Sign with 6 Options - Do Not Disturb/Out of Office/In a Meeting/Come in Welcome/Working Remotely/Back Soon, 6 Inch Round Privacy Signs (Black)
  • Package: You will receive a 6-inch black round privacy door sign with six different working statuses, corresponding to different colors, to help colleagues immediately identify your status
  • Material: The office privacy sign is made of high-quality acrylic and scratch-resistant materials. It has a smooth and sturdy surface, is durable and has a long service life, providing you with long-term usage value
  • Unique Design: The circle office sign is set with six different color backgrounds and working statuses. The colorful background can easily catch colleagues' eyes, making them notice the words on the doorplate and understanding your status, facilitating their decision on whether they should disturb you, thereby improving work efficiency
  • Easy to Use: The strong adhesive on the back of the sign can make it firmly adhere to a flat and clean door, not easy to fall off, and leave no residue after removal. If your door is made of metal, you can simply stick the sign on the door. The magnet on the back of the sign will hold it in place. Just use the slider to indicate your status to ensure your privacy during important meetings or work
  • Wide Application: This round privacy door sign, as an essential accessory for both company and home offices, can be used in any work environment that requires privacy, such as meeting rooms, studios, lounges, and offices. It prevents others from disturbing you during private meetings, teleconferences, or studies, allowing you to have a more efficient working state

Put a fee on the homepage 3 of 30
Embedded a real scheduling system 2 of 30

The path from a booking prompt to an actual appointment was not guaranteed: Colorlib reported that 18 of the 22 first-screen booking controls led to an openable page, 11 led to a page with a published price, and none displayed an available time on the landing page. These are separate measures, not interchangeable definitions of “online booking.”

In the same sample, 21 sites opened on white or near-white backgrounds, with warm, desaturated accent colors common. Colorlib identified Squarespace on 12 sites, WordPress on 10, Wix on 3, and Webflow on 2. These are observations from the reviewed pages, not recommendations or measures of platform quality.

Patterns worth adapting for a therapist website

Make fit clear before asking visitors to book

Several examples quickly connect a practice to a specific audience, concern, or place: MLC Dallas combines geography with service types; Greta Strickland names specialties; Authentic Self Consulting identifies an LGBTQ+ audience; and Attuned Psychology distinguishes local in-person care from telehealth. A visitor should be able to tell whether the practice is relevant without decoding vague slogans. State service area plainly, especially for online therapy, where licensure and service eligibility can depend on location.

  • OFFICE STATUS: Our office privacy sign helps to know the exact state of the office, so you can choose it as the suitable gift for friends, colleagues and family

Put availability, fees, and payment details where people can find them

In Colorlib’s sample, only 7 of 30 sites stated whether they were accepting clients, 15 published a fee somewhere, and 12 addressed insurance. These counts suggest a practical opportunity: keep capacity and payment information easy to locate and current. Zoe Riggs uses separate Rates and Availability destinations; Nancy Ortiz distinguishes intake from ongoing-session fees; and Jeff Miller puts a fee on the homepage. If the practice is full, Ever Be Therapy’s referral approach and Jaree Basgall’s waitlist explanation show two useful ways to communicate what happens next.

Explain the route from interest to an appointment

A clear button is only the beginning. Tell visitors whether it leads to a contact form, consultation, matching quiz, or scheduler, and what they should expect after submitting it. The audit found that some booking controls did not lead to an openable page, and no reviewed destination page showed a bookable time. Tampa Counseling Place, Collective Psychology, and Deep Eddy Psychotherapy illustrate different scheduling or matching routes; the right choice depends on the practice’s intake process.

Use images and layout to answer a real question

An actual office or playroom can help visitors picture the setting, as in Michelle Harwell Therapy and Child and Family Therapy Collective. Art materials on Alexandria Art Therapy’s site help explain the modality. A clinician portrait can make a solo practice feel identifiable, as Colorlib observed on Jessica Meiman’s and Angie Richey’s sites. Visual identity is most useful when it supports information rather than obscuring it.

Show relevant credentials without implying more than they establish

Colorlib found credentials on 23 of the 30 selected sites. A concise, accurate explanation of licensure, training, and relevant expertise can help visitors assess fit. Psychology.com’s examples include Alison Petok’s separation of licensure, training, and publications, as well as Dr. Chandler Puhy’s distinction between therapy and testing or evaluation. Credentials are information about a practitioner’s qualifications; they are not a substitute for describing services and availability.

What these examples cannot tell you

Neither collection establishes that a particular design produces more clients, better clinical outcomes, or a more accessible or private site. Colorlib’s counts describe its chosen 30 sites at its review time. Psychology.com says its September 26, 2026 review did not verify qualifications, insurance claims, outcomes, speed, accessibility, or privacy. The sites and their details may also change after those reviews.

If you are building a practice site, treat the examples as prompts for clear communication, then verify your own licensure and service-area rules, payment descriptions, accessibility, and privacy practices. A booking widget, form, hosting provider, or tracking tool does not by itself establish that the whole setup meets applicable privacy obligations. For testimonials and other professional-ethics questions, consult the rules that apply to your profession and jurisdiction rather than assuming one universal rule.

Choosing a platform is a separate decision

A clinician-reviewed Psychology.com comparison says there is no single best website builder for every practice. It names Squarespace and Wix as general-purpose editors, WordPress as a theme-and-hosting route, Webflow for a more deliberate design workflow, Carrd for a compact first site, and Brighter Vision and TherapySites as therapist-focused packages. The comparison’s offer details were checked September 26, 2026, and costs or terms can change; domain, email, scheduling, billing, and outside support may affect the total. See the platform comparison.

Choose based on who will write, update, and support the site, as well as the functions the practice needs.
