These 20 startup website examples span software, retail, and services—businesses whose homepages have different jobs. Study each against what it sells and what a visitor should do next, rather than treating the list as an objective ranking or applying one design checklist to all of them.
Software startup website examples
Software homepages often need to explain a product category, establish credibility, and make a next step clear. In LateTechPress’s 2026 roundup, the software examples include subscription products and platforms; their approaches are useful to compare, not universal prescriptions.

- Consolto: Its first-screen wording, “AI Chatbot to Video Call With Customers. One Streamlined Flow,” describes a customer-communication workflow. Consider how the headline connects a recognizable tool to the task it performs.
- AdYouNeed: Included in the roundup’s software group. Compare its opening message and next action with other software sites when assessing how clearly a product explains its use.
- Shadowmap: The roundup cites its concrete product description, “Global Interactive 3D Sunlight Simulation.” It is an example of naming a specific capability rather than relying only on broad startup language.
- Lightyear: Included among the roundup’s software examples. Look at whether its page makes the offering and intended visitor action easy to distinguish.
- MikMak: A software example in the roundup. Its place in the list illustrates why product context matters when comparing homepage messaging.
- January: Included in the software group. Assess the opening screen for the company’s offer, evidence, and the action it makes available.
- Practipago: Listed as a software business. Compare how its presentation serves its own customer and sales model rather than assuming it should follow a different software company’s pattern.
- VBOUT: A software example from the roundup. The useful question is whether a new visitor can identify the product and its next step.
- YouEngage: Included among the software sites. Consider how clearly the homepage moves from describing the offer to an appropriate action.
- MonetaGo: Listed in the software group. Its inclusion broadens the set beyond familiar consumer-facing products, a reminder to judge clarity for the audience the business actually serves.
- ebulletins: A software example in the roundup. Compare its first-screen explanation with the other product sites, especially how directly it conveys what the visitor can use.
Retail startup website examples
A retail homepage has a different job from a software landing page: visitors may need to understand the product and move toward shopping. A consultation-first software checklist is not a useful standard for judging a store.

- Apothékary: Included in the roundup’s retail group. Consider whether the page presents the goods and shopping path in a way suited to its brand.
- Dropps: A retail example. Compare how product presentation and the route to purchase serve the visitor’s decision.
- Feastables: Listed as a retailer. Its inclusion is a reminder that a consumer brand’s homepage may prioritize products and shopping over software-style demos or trials.
Service startup website examples
Service businesses may need to build confidence and invite a conversation, booking, or contact rather than offer self-service checkout or software activation. The right next step depends on how the service is delivered.

- Spiral bound
- Measures 8-1/2" x 11"
- Upstate Laundromat: Included in the services group. Assess whether a visitor can understand the service and find a practical next action.
- Knapsack Creative: A service example in the roundup. Consider how the page communicates the offering and supports a visitor deciding whether to get in touch.
- TinySeed: Listed among the service businesses. Compare the page’s explanation and visitor pathway with companies that sell products directly.
- KeyNest: A service example. Evaluate the homepage in terms of the task a potential customer needs to complete, not just its visual style.
- AchieveMore: Included in the services group. Look for a clear description of the service and a next step appropriate to a conversation-led model.
- Passionfroot: Listed as a service business. Its inclusion offers another point of comparison for how service-oriented sites establish relevance and invite action.
How to compare the examples
Use the same questions across the list, but interpret the answers in light of each company’s business model. A page that asks for a demo may be well matched to a complex software sale and poorly matched to a shop where visitors expect to browse and buy.
- Clarity: Can a first-time visitor tell what the company offers from the first screen? Shadowmap and Consolto are cited for concrete descriptions of their products.
- Proof: Does the page offer evidence such as customer logos, testimonials, or a product shown in use? Logos can build confidence, but they do not automatically explain what the product does.
- Next action: Is there a relevant action—starting, launching, booking a demo, shopping, or contacting the company? Judge the action by the business’s sales model.
- Price and commitment: Is pricing visible, and can visitors proceed on their own or do they need a conversation? Compare companies with similar offerings before treating a difference as a design lesson.
- Presentation: Do typography, color, motion, and imagery help explain the offer or support the visitor’s task? Visual polish is most useful when it serves the message.
For additional design techniques, Webflow’s older roundup points to Fincent’s product screenshot and Reclaim’s testimonial section as examples of product and customer proof. It also highlights Dexai’s hero video as a way to show a robot in action, and Rumble Studio’s animation and whitespace as presentation choices. These are individual examples, not a current ranking.
What the 2026 roundup found on first screens
LateTechPress says it reviewed the first screen of each of its 20 selected sites in a browser at 1280×860. Its figures describe those captures, not all startups, and the live pages may have changed since the review.
| First-screen observation | Count in LateTechPress’s 20-site review (2026) |
|---|---|
| Customer logos appear | 13/20 |
| A concrete product category is named | 12/20 |
| A conversion call to action is offered | 12/20 |
| A login is present | 10/20 |
| Pricing is linked from the first screen | 5/20 |
| Pricing is reachable somewhere on the site | 9/20 |
| A free tier or trial is offered | 5/20 |
| Docs or an API are available | 3/20 |
| The next step offered is only a conversation | 6/20 |
| No call to action appears | 2/20 |
The counts distinguish two things that are easy to conflate: logos appeared on 13 of the reviewed first screens, while a concrete product category appeared on 12. Credibility cues and clear explanation serve different purposes.
LateTechPress also reports that pricing is published by 8 of 11 software companies, 1 of 4 retailers, and none of the 5 service businesses in its sample. This comparison can prompt a useful question about how a business sells; it is not a rule that every software company should publish a price or that services should not.

Turn the examples into a short brief before choosing a design: state what the company offers, who it serves, what evidence can support the claim, and the one next action that fits its business model. Then select a layout and visual treatment that make those points easy to find.
Webflow’s startup community collection offers examples, templates, and cloneable projects for further exploration. Treat community projects as design inspiration and possible implementation starting points; their presence in a collection does not establish that each is a live startup homepage.
