The examples below combine architecture practices’ own websites with architecture- and design-related projects recognized in 2026 awards. They are a curated set, not a single award ranking: the Web Marketing Association and the Webby Awards use different categories and recognition systems.
How to use this list
Look beyond the landing page. A strong architecture site should help a visitor see what a practice does, understand the context behind its projects, and find the information they need. For each example, consider how it handles project storytelling, portfolio organization, visual identity, navigation, and usefulness to prospective clients, journalists, collaborators, or job applicants.

Nakada Design, an agency that sells marketing services to architecture firms, says its July 2026 roundup considers project depth, photographic honesty, service clarity, and whether an unfamiliar visitor can understand a practice quickly. It recommends contextual project pages, useful browsing by sector, location, or typology, and quick mobile delivery. Treat those as the agency’s selection principles, not as an independent standard or a performance study. Nakada Design’s roundup
The Web Marketing Association says its architecture website award judges “design, ease of use, copywriting, interactivity, use of technology, innovation and content.” The Web Design Awards publishes a broader set of dimensions: user experience and strategy; visual design and branding; content and storytelling; accessibility and inclusivity; performance and technical implementation; responsiveness and multi-device support; and innovation and future readiness. 18 architecture website designs to explore
This list includes both architecture practices’ own sites and architecture-oriented art or design projects. Award status is stated precisely: a nominee or honoree is not a winner, and recognition in one program does not mean the same thing as recognition in another.
1. One Bangkok Website
The Web Marketing Association named One Bangkok Website its 2026 Best Architecture website. This is the most directly architecture-specific recognition in the list. Use the association’s rubric to assess how effectively the site brings together design, usability, copy, interactivity, technology, innovation, and content; the award result alone does not establish how it performs for every visitor or device. The association says its 2026 competition has ended. See the Web Marketing Association’s 2026 results.
2. Warhol Art
Warhol Art won the 2026 Webby in the Architecture, Art & Design category for Websites and Mobile Sites. The category spans more than architecture practices, so it is useful as cross-disciplinary inspiration for how a design-led project presents its subject online—not as a firm-website award. See the 2026 Webby category results.

This project received the 2026 People’s Voice Winner distinction in the Webby Architecture, Art & Design category for Websites and Mobile Sites. Keep the award label intact when comparing it with the category’s Webby Winner and other recognitions: it is a separate status. See the 2026 Webby category results.
Rank #2
4. Composites.archi
Composites.archi was a 2026 Webby nominee in Architecture, Art & Design for Websites and Mobile Sites. It is a useful award-listed example to inspect for ideas about presenting architecture-related work, but nomination does not establish that it won. See the 2026 Webby category results.
5. Quadplex 80
Quadplex 80 was also a 2026 Webby nominee in the Architecture, Art & Design category for Websites and Mobile Sites. Consider how its project identity and presentation might inform a portfolio, while distinguishing the nominee status from the category’s winners. See the 2026 Webby category results.
6. YODEZEEN
YODEZEEN appeared as a 2026 Webby nominee in Architecture, Art & Design for Websites and Mobile Sites. Its inclusion offers another current reference point from the award list; assess the actual site’s navigation and project detail directly before borrowing a design decision. See the 2026 Webby category results.

7. Page
Page was named a 2026 Webby honoree in Architecture, Art & Design for Websites and Mobile Sites. The honoree designation is distinct from the winner and nominee statuses also listed for the category. See the 2026 Webby category results.
8. Rockwell Group
Rockwell Group was a 2026 Webby honoree in Architecture, Art & Design for Websites and Mobile Sites. It can be a useful reference for considering how a practice communicates its breadth, but the award listing is not a site-by-site usability or accessibility audit. See the 2026 Webby category results.
9. SHM Architects
SHM Architects was another 2026 Webby honoree in Architecture, Art & Design for Websites and Mobile Sites. Compare the site’s project explanations and portfolio structure with your own audience’s needs rather than treating award status as a complete redesign brief. See the 2026 Webby category results.
10. Hugh Strange Architects
Colorlib’s 2026 examples roundup notes that Hugh Strange Architects pairs building names with photographs and gives project place and year. Those details help a visitor identify what a project is and where and when it belongs, beyond the image itself. See Colorlib’s architecture website examples.
11. Sean Godsell Architects
Colorlib highlights Sean Godsell Architects for separating built, under-construction, and unbuilt work. That distinction helps visitors understand a project’s status instead of having to infer whether a compelling image depicts a completed building or a proposal. See Colorlib’s architecture website examples.
Rank #4
12. A student architecture portfolio example
Colorlib’s roundup also points to a student portfolio that explains team roles and credits renderings and photographs. Those practices are useful beyond student work: clear authorship helps readers understand who contributed and who created the images. The roundup describes a particular example, not a rule that every portfolio must adopt its visual style. See Colorlib’s architecture website examples.
13–18. More studios from Wallpaper*’s 2026 directory
Wallpaper*’s 2026 Architects’ Directory profiles 30 studios from a broad range of countries. It is a way to discover additional practices and project context, not a judging list of website quality. To round out your inspiration set, select six practices from the directory, then inspect each studio’s own site for project context, portfolio organization, image credits, and audience information. The directory does not establish that these six sites are award winners or rank them as the “best” websites. Explore Wallpaper*’s 2026 Architects’ Directory.

Project pages explain more than the image
A striking photograph can attract attention, but a useful case study adds the project’s place, purpose, status, and design response. Where relevant, include the year and the people or teams involved. This gives a prospective client or journalist enough context to understand the work without guessing.
Portfolio categories reflect how visitors browse
Separate built projects from work under construction and unbuilt proposals when the distinction matters. If a practice spans different building types or geographies, categories such as sector, location, or typology can help a visitor narrow the portfolio. Avoid categories that obscure more than they clarify.
Images are distinctive, credited, and honestly presented
Art direction can give a site a recognizable identity, but it should not make project facts harder to read. Credit photographers and rendering teams, and make clear when an image represents a proposal rather than a completed building. Colorlib’s examples offer specific illustrations of project details, status labels, and credits; Nakada Design emphasizes photographic honesty as one of its own selection considerations. Navigation serves more than one audience
A potential client may be looking for relevant project types and services. A journalist may need project facts and images, while a job applicant may want to understand the people and practice. Make those paths findable without burying the work behind an elaborate interface.
Check mobile, accessibility, and performance on the live site
Those qualities matter, but the award listings and examples described here do not establish a consistent, current mobile, accessibility, or performance result for every site. Inspect the live pages at the screen sizes and with the assistive technology relevant to your audience; do not infer these qualities from a visual award or screenshot. The Web Design Awards includes responsiveness, accessibility, and performance among its published judging dimensions. Web Design Awards criteria and archive

How to evaluate an example before borrowing its design
- Open a project page, not only the homepage. Check whether it identifies the project, location, purpose, status, and design response.
- Test the portfolio’s categories. See whether you can find relevant work by a practical route such as typology, sector, or location.
- Check image context and credits. Look for photographer or rendering credits and a clear distinction between completed work and proposals.
- Try the site on a phone. Check whether navigation, project information, and images remain usable on a small screen.
- Match the pattern to your audience. A visual treatment that works for an art project may not suit a practice that needs to make its services, team, and built work easy to find.
Awards and directories are discovery tools, not universal proof of website quality. The Webby category covers architecture, art, and design sites broadly; the Web Marketing Association’s Architecture category is specifically about architecture websites. Wallpaper*’s directory is for discovering emerging practices, while Colorlib’s roundup offers observations about particular portfolio choices. Use each source for what it actually establishes.
