This does not provide the same function as a visitor clicking a button to share your page. Social Snap’s WordPress.org listing also names auto-posting as a Pro feature, so check its current tier details if that workflow matters.

The available evidence supports a selection framework, not a tested ranking of 17 plugins. WordPress.org’s social-share category and share-buttons category can help you discover candidates, including Sassy Social Share. A directory listing establishes that a plugin is listed; it does not prove that it is best, faster, private, or compatible with your site.

- Match the use case. Decide whether you need visitor share buttons, account publishing, or both.
- Check placement and controls. Confirm the locations you want, mobile behavior, page-level controls, and whether the plugin supports a block, shortcode, or template placement if needed.
- Verify the networks. Confirm support for the exact social and messaging platforms your audience uses. Network lists can change.
- Decide whether counts matter. Check whether counts are supported, which services provide them, and whether recovery of older counts costs extra.

Social Snap’s listing describes asynchronous loading and SVG icons. Novashare’s feature page describes inline SVG icons and loading scripts only where selected. These are implementation details reported by the vendors; they do not establish how either plugin performs on your particular theme, hosting, or page. No independent comparative benchmark is established here, so choose based on documented controls and validate performance on your own site if it is a priority.

- Confirm that the networks, placements, counts, and mobile settings you need are available in the edition you intend to use.
- Check current compatibility information against your WordPress installation and other important plugins.
- For account publishing, check which accounts must be connected and read the service’s current privacy documentation.
- Do not rely on a directory category or vendor performance language as proof of compatibility or measured speed.
Jetpack states that “Over 1 million posts are shared every day.” That is Jetpack’s claim; the page accessed in 2026 does not state the publication year or measurement period, and the figure is not independently verified.
